There weren't many things that Parker couldn't steal on her own. There was a reason she was considered the best in her line of work, after all. However being able to steal something and feeling the urge to do it all on her lonesome were two completely different things. Once upon a time, all she did was work alone. But times had changed and Parker, whether she wanted to admit it or not, had changed with them.
Personally she blamed Nate. Nathan Ford had brought her into a group that was as dysfunctional in their own ways as she was in hers, and they had formed something that was as close to family as Parker had ever known. Now that more-than-a-team was no more, their days of helping people were finished, and yet try as she might Parker couldn't go back to who she'd once been.
She should have realized as much when she'd accidentally stolen Noah's wallet and Claude's PDA, all those weeks ago and had promptly given them back. She knew that, now. It shouldn't have taken her devising a plan to lift some priceless art from a gallery to understand that she didn't want to be just a thief anymore. She wanted to be a thief that helped people. A thief that stole things from the real bad guys and made the world a little bit of a better place.
"He made me Robin Hood," she whined just loud enough to earn a funny look from a couple passing her as she perched on the edge of one of the pillars in front of the museum she'd been casing for the better part of two weeks now. Rolling her eyes, she looked pointedly away from the couple and down at her PDA. Maybe she should contact Sophie and Eliot. See if they wanted to do this job or not. Eliot had seemed interested. Sophie... not so much. But she could always try again. Maybe it had just been an off-day for the actress, after all.
Deciding that's what she was going to do, Parker hopped down from where she was sitting and began to access the private message option on her PDA as she made her way with memorized footsteps toward a nearby coffee shop. It would be a less conspicuous place to meet and they really did have the best mocha latte in town.
Not watching where she was going, and trying to figure out how to word her message to her former teammates, Parker managed to crash directly into someone else and stumble back almost violently at the unexpected contact.
