He'd shot out the door without so much as a word to the human girl, Mikaela. No doubt it was something of a shock, but if she'd seen on the network who he'd seen, and if she'd really understood who Skyfire was to Starscream, she wouldn't have so much as wondered why he was in such haste to reach him. Sure, he wasn't really used to the body he was in, yet, but he didn't care to be cautious and take it carefully. It was--
It was Skyfire. Skyfire. He didn't dare open up his bond with the other, though, not until he could see and touch him. Not until he was sure.
It took no time to find the library, and then-- there-- on the steps--
Oh. Oh, Primus.
How he ached. It was him. It was Skyfire. He'd know him no matter the body he wore. --His Spark threatened to burst in his chest, opening again so suddenly after so long. He was frozen on the steps, he knew, simply.. staring. He couldn't move. He was so afraid that this was all some kind of cruel trick, that Skyfire would disappear the moment he laid hands on him. "Skyfire--" he managed, and was shocked at how small, how lost his voice sounded. "Skyfire, it's you.." He found himself moving again quite without realising, and before he knew it, his hands were against the human's chest, palm feeling the steady beat of a human heart beneath it. There was wetness against his face, blurring his eyes, and Starscream had a moment to think that oh, that's what crying is.. But then it didn't matter.
