Samhain Ritual and Halloween/Birthday Party!!!
WHO: ANYONE!
WHEN: Oct 31st, All Evening/Night
WHERE: The Midway

As the night falls early on the Cirque and the Tower of London, the excited feeling grows; not so much the magic of the early morning ritual as it is the feeling of the thinning veil between the spirit world and the human world. Shadows move around the circus grounds on their own signifying the increase of spirit activity and those keeping the spirits at bay are asked to step down and merely police ones that cause trouble for the employees. All the spirits were given warning by the Ringmaster that if they wish to continue to exist they will not cause harm to his employees.

The area of the Samhain ritual is decorated with black candles with a large alter set-up at the edge of the circle. Every witch is expected to participate, while others are allowed to as well if they celebrate the holiday.

The Midway is taken over by the party while each tent is closed up for the night. Music reaches every corner of the Tower with music acts performing on a stage set up outside and lights run by the lighting designer of the Big Top. Tables are set up around the spaces with large Jack O'Lantern displays and beautiful silver candelabras lit only by the soft yellow glow of flames.

People who attempt to come to the party not in costume will be promptly knocked out with mental magic and dressed up against their will. A costume contest is announced from the main stage in a deep announcer's voice and everyone is encouraged to participate in the Flashbulb booth.

Issac is dressed to match his amazing co-performer, so he is dressed in a mix of clothing accepting that the Avengers version of Quicksilver's outfit wasn't nearly as cool as the other one. He is wearing the base outfit of the Avengers version but with the silver jacket and goggles from the X-Men version. He has also used some of Alex's alchemy to make his hair silver for the night.

Not having planned on joining the festivities, Vaughn had no get up ready when Aria showed up and refused to take no for an answer. What resulted from a two minute scrounge of his belongings and a brief stop to the costume department yielded a painfully hipster getup, complete with glassless eyeglasses, too-small shirt, skinny tie, effected hair and, of course, a vest and converse.

	Because of the coexisting Harvest holiday and honouring of the Dead rituals, there is a large central altar with photos, candles, and plates of food with a large sign that reads “For Spirits Only” anyone who tries to touch the altar in a malicious way gets shocked and may get attacked by the ever antsy Spirits of the Tower. Food Tables

Off in its own corner are tables draped in black starlight fabric with pumpkins and gourds decorated for display above the plates and pans of food for every type of creature. A large hog rotates on a spit with a volunteer cook from the food tent able to cut pieces off for people. While one of the longest tables holds every dessert imaginable.
The vegetarian table is set away from the meats for those of cultural differences.

	Like the traditional game, there are barrels of red apples floating in them set up for some simple, old-fashioned fun. For the meat-eaters of the Cirque, Issac has a barrel with hearts enchanted to look like Apples and float on the top of the water with a caution sign hanging on the front of it. Hazelnut Divination and Apple Peel Divination, as well as other fun mixes, are available to be played.
:: Hazelnuts are tasted to find out if one's spouse would be sweet or bitter. Or a match was lit between two nuts to determine the happiness of your future marriage. The answer is calculated on how the nuts reacted to the flame and to each other. If the hazelnut burns quickly, it was assumed that the marriage could crumble under stressful conditions. If the hazelnuts move away from each other, the spouses were not meant to be with one another.
:: In Apple Peel Divination, the asker peels the apple, in one piece, and throw over the shoulder. The curl of the peel as it lands indicates the intended sweetheart or someone who is thinking of them.
