Hale Pack Gathering Post
Who: Hale Pack & slaves
Where: Crescent Hills Preserve
When: Week 7; Sunday afternoon/evening.
Why: Wolfy meet and greet.
Warnings: TBD
Derek had vague memories of his Uncle Paul. He was his mother's youngest brother, and he hadn't been killed in the fire because he'd left the pack several years earlier to see the world. He doesn't remember if he or Laura contacted him after the fire--if they'd even known where he was. He assumed that the lawyers had taken care of that. He doesn't remember if Uncle Paul sent flowers, or a message. But he was pretty certain that neither he nor Laura had heard from Uncle Paul before he literally showed up on their doorstep with a freshly bitten werewolf that he was calling his heir.
That had been Wednesday.
Allison had shown up on Thursday.
Needless to say, Derek had been a little busy trying to hide an escaped slave in his garage at the same time he was dealing with two new werewolves who were, at least familially, pack.
They'd set up Uncle Paul and Jeremy in Scott's old cabin on the Hale estate, and though he loved his sister dearly, not even her Alpha will could convince him to plan a party. He'd put that on Isaac. And his slave had dutifully planned a Sunday picnic with enough food to feed a half dozen wolves and their slaves in a clearing in the Preserve.
The sun was shining. It was a beautiful sunny day. At least until it'd started raining.
Now the wolves and the slaves were all gathered inside the main house on the Hale Estate with the food they'd managed to save (which wasn't much). So, what should have been a relaxing 'get-to-know-your-pack' gathering was now a tense house packed with wet, hungry wolves.
OOC: You can refer to this website for the general layout of the main Hale house, with some minor changes. On the first floor, the bedrooms have been converted to a large library. The "lower level" is actually the second story, and the upper level is the third story.
