The thought that his own father had sold him into slavery drew a soft growl from Jeremy. How could anyone do that to their own child. He could tell that the fact upset the boy and getting angry on his behalf wasnt going to make him feel any better.
Instead, Jeremy reached over and gently placed his hand on the boy's head. "I was a slave for a time too, little brother. I was bitten though.." He offered the term of endearment, hoping to make Isaac feel calmer.
