The Rules
>>1. You MUST be 17 or older. This RPG will contain adult themes and situations. If you are under 17, unless you've spoken with one of the mods, then beat it.
>>2. Know your character. Know him/her well. If your character is someone who was already established on the show, the get to know their history (examples: Chris, Wyatt, Bianca, older versions of Piper, Phoebe, Paige, or Leo). If your character is purely of your imagination, be sure to provide a complete summary of your character's history.
>>3. You'll need a journal made specifically for your character. The name should have a reference to who you are playing. All journals are to be friend's only, and you must add all of the players to your friends list.
Also, on your information page, be sure to include lots of information about your character. Make it nice. Be creative.
>>4. You must have an AIM/YIM/ account. It makes things more interesting. IM RP conversations are to be posted under an lj-cut, and a short summary of what the conversation detailed should be in included. Make sure to put the character name in place of the AIM screenname, and be sure to separate the logs.
>>5. All long posts are lj-cut friendly, savvy?
>>6. You must have at least one icon pic of your character. If you don't have one, there are millions of them out there floating around on the internet. Or you could kindly ask one of the members here to make some for you.
>>7. The answer to question 12 is None, silly! Ice cream doesn't have any bones!
>>8. Keep the OOC talk in the OOC journal. OOC talk will not be tolerated in the any other journal.
>>9. Good grammar is a must. No "rotf" or "lyke omg!" or tYpInG lIkE tHiS.
>>10. The only unacceptable form of writing would be the following example:
- *pouts* Bianca tosses a rock at Chris's head.
Astricks are annoying.
>>11. Most themes are allowed. If your post is of a 'R' or 'NC-17' nature, you MUST post it under a cut and provide a warning ahead of the cut. Feel free to let your creativity wonder, but if your post includes harm to another character, make sure you discuss it with the other character first in the OOC journal or AIM.
>>12. OC drama is completely FORBIDDEN. If you have a problem with another character, respectively keep it out of the group. If the problem cannot be solved by the respective parties, you may contact one of the mods to help settle the problem. Progeny has always been a relatively harmonious group, and we'd like to keep it that way.
>>13. IC drama, on the other hand, is openly welcomed. Plot ideas are also welcomed. But a kind reminder, NO GODMODDING. If your idea/plot involves anything of another character, you have to clear it with them as well as the mods.
>>14. The mods here reserve the right to reject any applications that are not filled out correctly. We also reserve the right to reject the PB if deemed unsuitable. We're pretty lenient on the PBs though. Just be sure not to choose someone completely obnoxious or over used. Your application must be approved by BOTH mods.
>>15. It's advised that new players to the game read up on past threads to catch up on the game's history. We've been going for well over two years now, so it's safe to say a lot has happened! Don't be shy! The mods would be happy to fill you in and give you a summary of past and recent events so your new pup can fit comfortably into the game.
>>16. BE ACTIVE!! You must post at least once a week. Or you will be cut from the game, and your character will be either recast, or killed off. This is a fast-paced and plot heavy game, so a lack of participation holds up everyone. If you need time away, at the very least, let one of the mods know. We are all very aware that real life happens, and real life always holds precedence over RP. Just let us know, and we're happy to give you the time you need.
