PLOT #4
A House of Mirrors attraction will appear on the carnival lot on the carnival’s day off. Those inclined to take in the new attraction (and investigate it if they cotton onto something being off about it later) will find themselves replaced with their double. Their double, whilst appearing like them physically and having their memories, will be their opposite in many ways. So a generally bright and happy person might find themselves replaced by a rather dark and morose double - that sort of thing. You’re also welcome to go all evil twin if you wish! (We felt having the option would be best. :) ★ Start Date: Monday November 18th ★ End Date: Sunday November 24th |
What is the House of Mirrors like? The House of Mirrors will appear as a complete attraction. It’s a tent, but inside will have a boarded path on either side of which mirrors have been placed. Mirrors of all kinds. Normal ones, wavy ones, ones with odd perspectives. As people make their way through they might get the distinct feeling that they’re being stalked by their own reflection. It sounds a bit silly, as their own reflection will, of course, be all around them.. but, hey, did it just move of its own accord? It is ahead of me? Is it behind me? Let me out! (Uh, yeah. That.) If my character goes all the way through it what will happen to them? Before they reach the end they’ll find themselves swapping places with their reflection. Essentially, they’ll be stuck in the mirror and the endless reflection of opposing mirrors while their reflection/double gets to go and take their place in the physical world. :E What if they only go a small ways in before returning the way they came? They probably won’t be replaced, in that case. They can also go in the back way... How will replaced characters be rescued/returned? How indeed? Maybe one of the doubles will accidentally let something slip, maybe someone will notice a pattern with the new ‘attraction’, the people who’ve gone through it, and the changes in them since then. People are welcome to go in and start smashing things up. The best course would probably be to try and force the doubles to go back through, though. ;) I have a question! Feel free to ask it in the comments. (Can’t embed this one, but have a menacing track for your character’s increasingly unsettling journey through the House of Mirrors. :) |
