Two plus one
WHO: Callie Morgan, Collin Ives, and introducing Lisa Houdina WHERE: Lisa's extended stay hotel room, Glenrock, Aerilon WHEN: The night after Jing Jing Morning (local time) Y02/12/07
Eyes slowly opened, breaking through the haze as surroundings felt foreign. Callie started to move, to sit up but paused, reaching out a hand for her head, groaning at the pain as her head was throbbing. Biting back the agony, she pushed her rough dark hair back and propped herself up towards a seated position, deciding to take it slow until the room, wherever it was stopped spinning.
He felt something from under his arm slip away and did not think anything of it in his groggy state. Collin stirred under the sheet and his foot made contact against something soft and warm. He left it there and drifted back to sleep.
Callie lightly rubbed her eyes, trying to help get them refocused and then she felt something against her cheek and immediately she slapped it away, moving her face away in surprise. “Frak!” She jumped out of bed, well tried to, more stumbled at first, naked.
“Oww,” said the blond Callie slapped away, and as the sheets were pulled away.
“Huh?” Collin replied from the foot of the bed when he felt a kick. He then poked his head from under the covers. “What’s going on?”
Standing naked next to the bed, Callie looked at the blond and was just about to say something when another face appeared from the other side of the bed. What the frak was going on? “Wa...I don’t know. I know I’m naked...”
Collin quickly checked under the covers and then looked at the attractive body of the brunette. “Yeah, well so am I.”
“Me too,” replied the blond haired woman who was not surprised.
“Okay wait a minute.” Callie raised her hands to both of them, telling them to stop and let her think for a minute. “Who did I sleep with?” Her eyes went from male to female as she waited for an answer to that all important question. She feared it was both of them.
“I vaguely remember you taking down my pants,” he said. His memory was still foggy about the events of last night. Collin then rolled over, and sat on the edge of the bed. He looked at the blond, “Good morning Lisa.” His hand reached for her knee.
“Good morning, Collin,” she smiled back at him, and then looked at the other woman. “It was both of us.” She winked at her.
Her eyes seemed to want to pop out her head when she was told it was both of them she slept with last night. A female was hardly surprising but male, that was new. “Oh gods” Callie looked away and moved to sit down on the edge of the bed feeling her headache getting worse now. “I don’t remember...were you this guy's idea or mine? Who asked you back?”
“You invited me to join you two,” said Lisa. “Don’t you remember?”
“I need a drink,” said Collin. So he got up, staggered at first and walked over to the table were some bottles of beer were left, along with a couple of half empty bottles of spirits. Standing there by the table wearing completely nothing, he grabbed a beer and twisted off the top, while the other two talked.
Callie watched as Collin, she remembered his name, got up and went for a drink and her reaction was a shake of the head. It was that stuff which got her into this. She sat on the edge of that bed and looked over her shoulder at the blond, “So did I come on to you?” It was important to remember small details in a time like this, she wanted to place her frame of mind because she really did not remember much.
“Collin introduced me,” said Lisa before moving closer to Callie’s side of the bed. “You wanted to party elsewhere, so I asked you two back to my place.” Lisa gently stroked Callie’s arm. “Are you okay?”
Meanwhile Collin went to the bathroom.
“I’m fine.” Callie was not exactly thrilled about ending up in bed with two people, especially if one was male but as Lisa lightly stroked over her arm, it was a little less irritating. “I was going to kill Collin but now I might have to thank him.” She chuckled lightly.
“Oh,” Lisa looked over to the direction where Collin had been a minute before. “He’s not worth killing, but yeah he does know how to have a good time. I’m glad he paid for you. Your body is awesome.”
“Thank you...wait what, paid for me?” Callie was enjoying the compliment from the blond haired Lisa when she thought back a few words before that comment.
“He did right? He told me,” said Lisa. “He said you were a call girl here for the winter or something. Gods he told me it was his treat, since he missed my birthday last week.”
“So..” Callie wanted to correct Lisa, clear the air but when she heard that Collin announced her to Lisa as his belated birthday gift, Callie could not seem to bring herself to ruin that. She could pretend until she exited that front door. “So you’re into girls then?” It was sort of her way of diffusing the whole paid for aspect and plus a good conversation starter, possibly.
“Well yeah of course,” she traced her finger down Callie’s back and up again. “So is Collin,” she laughed.
Callie smirked, “Yeah I would not have guessed.” She closed her eyes at the sensation of Lisa lightly running a finger up and down her back and was beginning to see that Collin had good taste in women, even if he was a bit of a player in that field.
Collin returned wearing a pink robe which belonged to Lisa, and with a bottle of beer in his hand. “Take a look out the window, it’s a fraking winter wonderland.” He noticed that Lisa was playing with Callie’s back.
“You look good in pink, really brings out your eyes.” Callie had opened her eyes and decided to joke at the color of the robe Collin was modelling and not get into any argument about this ‘callgirl’ stuff.
“You don’t look bad yourself, sitting there all natural. If I was an artist, I’ve paint a portrait of you two together.” He took another drink from the bottle. The beer was at room temperature, but it did the trick to wet his mouth. He was still a little buzzed from last night and a hangover had not taken hold of him.
“We all know pink is your favorite color,” said Lisa who was moving to peek through the curtain next to the bed. “Yay!” She was excited to see the snow on the ground outside and the snow still falling from the sky.
Callie shook her head, it was unbelievable. She looked at Collin in that pink robe and then got to her feet and started towards the window to see the snow. Being up in the stars, she didn’t get so see much snow. “Wow, it is beautiful.” She came to a stop just behind Lisa, looking out at the white.
“Yes it is,” she turned around facing Callie. Her eyes lit up, “I’m going skiing.” She then quickly found her night shirt and slipped it on. “Are you guys hungry? I’m straving.” Lisa did not drink as much as her guests last night. She had a rule about not getting as drunk as those around her.
“I could eat something,” replied Collin.
“Callgirl?” asked Lisa.
“Sure.” Callie answered somewhat distracted by the snowy canvas outside the window. She didn’t even register how she was addressed by her callsign until she turned back around to her bed partners from last night.
“I have some eggs and ham,” Lisa walked to the kitchenette. The extended stay hotel room was compact with the bedroom open to the living area. “Are you guys okay with that?”
“Fine with me,” replied Collin who sat down at the round table with all the booze and which also served as the kitchen table. “So how long are going to stay here?”
“I found a townhouse I like for rent not so far from the town center, but its not available until the second week of next month.” Lisa opened the frig and took out the ingredients to make Eggs and Ham for breakfast.
“Eggs and ham sounds cool to me. I need to phone my niece.” Callie started to look around for her pants, try to get her phone.
“You know we could get snowed in together,” said Collin watching Callie. Lisa was busy getting things together for breakfast.
“Wow, that is really helpful, thanks.” Callie reached under the bed to see if her clothes were kicked under there by any chance. She still didn’t remember what happened last night.
“That’s the brilliant mind of an engineer at work,” said Lisa who started to heat a pan on the stove.
“Did any of you see my pants?” Callie questioned.
“Here under the table,” Collin reached down to pick it off the floor. He wondered how it got there. It could have been because of a drinking game.
Callie moved towards the kitchen table and grabbed the pants from Collin, reaching into one of the pockets for her phone. “How did they get here? Oh please tell me, did we...on the table?” Her eyes moved from male to female again and then down to her phone as she looked up her niece’s number.
Lisa laughed. “You did a lap dance.” She pointed with a spatula, “Your shirt is on the lamp shade.”
“I did a...” Callie looked up from her phone at Lisa with her mouth hung slightly open. “Who for?”
“Both of us,” Lisa looked at both of them at the table. “You haven’t done this much have you?” She was beginning to wonder about Callie’s occupation.
“I don’t know, but it must have been pretty wild,” he slapped Callie on the ass.
Her feet carried a few steps forward once Collin slapped her ass. “I guess not.” She put on a smile and then hit ‘ok’ to dial her niece up. “I’ll be back in a minute.” She started back into the bedroom area with her phone pressed against her ear.
Lisa washed her hands in the sink, and then began to fry up the eggs and ham. While it was cooking, she went over to Collin. She whispered into his ear. “Are you sure she’s really a call girl? She seems in shock about all this.”
“Yeah, she took my money,” he replied. He was not entirely sure how much he paid when he thought about it.
“Okay,” Lisa went back to the sink and got a glass of water. “How do you like your eggs, callgirl. Hey, do I have to keep calling you that Callie. That’s your name right?” She remembered the name from last night’s introduction.
Callie strolled back into the kitchen, hanging up and feeling a little more relaxed knowing her niece was okay. She had taken the chance to put on a shirt while in the bedroom. “You can call me Callie and I like my eggs runny.”
“Runny it is,” said Lisa. “Help yourself to the frig. I have some juice in there.” The first serving she made was for Callie. She prepared the plate. The breakfast was not anything special, it was very basic. “Here you go Callie.”
Collin cleared the table to make space for breakfast. He tossed the empty bottles into the recycle bin. He might have removed himself from his Caprican lifestyle but he knew how to clean up.
“Thanks.” Callie took the plate from Lisa and sat down at the table. “Hope you don’t mind me eating quickly...my niece is waiting for me back home.”
“No not at all,” replied Lisa.
“We’re all good?” Collin asked about payment. His memory was slowly coming back about last night. As he recalled, Callie’s attention was mostly focused on Lisa last night, but it was okay. He knew Lisa would have enjoyed it. He owed her that much for all those times she tended to his wounds after a bar fight.
Callie went to work on her eggs and ham while seated at that table then paused with a mouthful at Collin’s question. “I’m good yeah...” She chewed her food and then reached into her trouser pocket and pulled out some bills and tossed them on the table...”Here....”
“What’s this?” asked Collin. A little surprised by the amount of cubits now on the table. It was over eight hundred cubits.
“Last night was a freebie.” Callie looked from Collin to Lisa and smirked, “Call it a birthday gift.”
“I appreciate the gesture, but you earned it,” Lisa brought a plate over for Collin.
“No, she’s right. We made a deal. It doesn’t work that way,” said Collin. “I honor my debts.” The price was more than he expected, but a deal was a deal.
“Yeah. I don’t know how drunk I was last night, it is kind of flattering how much you paid but...eh...I can’t take your money.” Callie couldn’t take money, no matter how good she was last night, lap dance or no lap dance.
“Why not? It’s legal tender,” he picked up one of the bills while Lisa watched.
“I never said it wasn’t...look I’m not a call girl okay” Callie sort of blurted it out.
Lisa laughed. “I knew something was a little off about the whole thing the way you concentrated on me last night. What’s weird is that you insisted we call you one last night? You actually ordered us.”
Collin looked confused.
“I...I was drunk you know? Since I can’t remember much of last night, really drunk. And ‘Callgirl’ is sort of a nickname some friends use.” Callie looked at them both and then Lisa more so knowing she was the most freaked out.
Lisa punched Collin in the arm. “Gods, Collin. What the frak?”
“Hey, I though she was,” he rubbed his arm.
“So sorry, Callie.” she apologized. “If I would have known...” Prostitution was an acceptable occupation on most colonies, but there was still a line of acceptable behavior. “This is terrible.”
“Wait, it isn’t his fault. I played along with the idea...plus I enjoyed last night. I wouldn’t call it terrible having a little fun.” Callie stopped eating and stood up and moved towards Lisa, “I’m a Captain in the Colonial Fleet.”
“On Zeus’s lightning, I never thought I’d frak a Captain,” said Collin with a grin.
“I hate to burst your bubble, but you passed out before you could,” Lisa remembered. She looked at Callie. “He’s an idiot.”
“Oh I wouldn’t say that, he has interesting friends. Wait a minute, if you had a feeling something was up then why did you go along with it?” Callie turned to face Lisa directly.
“I don’t exactly do this all the time, but I wasn’t about to refuse.” From behind she laid a hand on Collin’s shoulder. “This cowboy meant well, and you were damn sexy.” She smirked.
“Guess I was lucky.” Callie smiled.
“Captain Callie, it was nice to sleep with you,” Lisa walked up to Callie and then kissed her softly on the lips. Next she grabbed the bills off the table. “If you won’t take his money. I’ll take it as donation for the town’s animal shelter to teach him a lesson.”
“It’s Callie, I’m not on duty.” Callie looked from Lisa to Collin and smirked, “Guess you’ll be the hero in the animal kingdom for the next while.”
“Looks like it. What the hell. I have a soft spot for helpless animals,” he looked up at Lisa. “She’s too kind.”
“It’s settled then,” she messed with Collin’s hair and then walked back to the kitchen. “Help yourself to the shower Callie if you want. My room is your room.” It was not exactly her home, since her house burned down to the ground last month.
“I would love to, but my niece wants to go skiing since it is snowing.” Callie grabbed her pants from the chair and started to pulled them on. “You’re welcome to join us.”
“I already have plans,” said Collin.
“She was talking to me you drunk,” said Lisa. The blond looked at Callie. "Thanks, but I have plans too for today, but I might catch you on the slopes."
“I hope so, would like to see you again...if that isn’t too forward.” Callie zipped up her pants and headed into the bedroom to find her shoes since they didn’t seem to be in the kitchen.
“We did get the sex out of the way,” Lisa smiled. “Sure, maybe coffee sometime.”
Collin just kept to himself and finished his eggs.
Callie returned to the kitchen, shoes on and better dressed while putting her jacket on. “Sounds like a date.” She smirked, picking up her phone that she left on the kitchen table.
“Let me know when. You can leave a message for me at the Animal Clinic in town. Ask for Lisa Houdina.” She said while she prepared her own plate for breakfast.
“I might just do that.” Callie zipped up her jacket as it was snowing and cold outside no doubt. “I enjoyed last night. Guess I’ll see you around.” She nodded to Collin and then looked to Lisa before heading for the front door to let herself out.
“Sorry about the misunderstanding,” said Collin. “I’m glad it turned out well. See ya around.”
“Good bye, Callie. Have fun.” said Lisa as she walked to the table with her plate.
Callie opened the front door and quickly exited into the snow, not really sure where the hell she was or how to get home in this weather but she needed to get home for Kylie. She lifted her jacket collar and started walking feeling like last night was not a total waste after all.
