The Cardiff Maniac Strikes Again!August 23, 2024Early this morning, Byron Johnson, 52, of Cardiff made a gruesome discovery. In a field not far from his home, he came across what could be considered remains of at least six different people. Authorities are conducting interviews of residents to see if anyone heard or saw anything, and investigating any houses that appear vacant to find the bodies the limbs belong to.
Arms and legs were scattered seemingly at random across the grass, though one witness, Marie Eckls, 23, said the limbs seemed to spell out a word. Photographs taken for evidence confirmed that indeed the word - or possibly name - "Drakkor" seemed to be formed with the limbs.
This is assuming that they were not disturbed and that whoever was last in possession of them arranged them that way. Preliminary forensic examinations have revealed that the limbs were not cut cleanly but appear to have been chewed and torn off. While the could be the work of wild animals that disturbed the site after the killer had left, authorities do not believe this is the case. "Wild animals would have dragged the limbs off. These appear, for the most part, to have been deliberately laid."
No one is quite certain what the word "Drakkor" means, though if it is a name, we can only assume it is a serial killer leaving his calling sign. This is far from the first violent murder in and around Cardiff, and we can only hope it is the last.
Arson, Possibly Related to Recent MurdersAugust 23, 2024Early this morning, just after one AM, authorities responded to a house fire called in by neighbors. Preliminary reports do not yet show the cause behind the fire, though it is assumed to be arson tied to the discovery of a six-person murder. No records could be found in regard to the ownership of the home, but residents in the neighborhood have assured authorities that the house had been occupied.
A search of the debris after the fire was put out has not yet revealed any clues in relation to the idenity of the occupants, or if the house was actually occupied at all.
The lack of records or presence of a deed is currently under investigation.
