Getting Daniel out of the building wasn't quite as difficult as he'd expected, which may or may not have been aided by the fact that the word 'date' was never mentioned at any point during their conversation. He was nervous, which was something Vlad had prepared for, but with some gentle convincing he'd gotten him into the car and on their way. If he'd calculated the time right, they should get there before the women, and if not - well, in his mind it wasn't really an option. Call him old-fashioned, but he thought it was only right that they were there first. He was sure Daniel would prefer it that way as well.
The drive wasn't long at all, and as he pulled into the parking lot Vlad noted that it didn't seem like the restaurant would be overly crowded either. Reservations hadn't been necessary, but then again he never put much stock on what was needed - he always took extra precautions even if it was just a dinner. At least, that was what he kept telling himself - it was just a dinner. He wasn't nervous, of course, because that was much different than anticipation. He could admit to feeling the latter, but not the former.
"I told you it would not take long," he commented as he got out of the car, waiting for Daniel to join him before making his way to the entrance. He held the door open and waited, wanting the other man to cast his judgment on the restaurant's appearance first since he'd already seen it. "Well? What do you think?" He knew that it was the food that would matter, but the way a place looked could tell a lot about the quality of both the service and the food.
Once Daniel was inside he told the waiter they had reservations and gave his last name, which was met by a quick nod as they were led to a table by the window - Vlad had already ensured on his previous visit that they would be given the best table in the place, not too secluded but not right in the middle of everyone else either. There was no wine or alcohol of any sort waiting at the table, which was also something he'd pre-arranged - for Daniel's benefit, or course.
