Alex McCoy 1. The most distinctive thing about Alex's speech is if he's having a bad OCD day, he might not be able to stop himself from talking about a topic, even if no one wants to listen. If it's clear that he's annoying people, he'll start to look more stressed, like he wants to stop and can't, and his speech might get a little faster and more uncomfortable.
2. Because memory doesn't work the same way during sleep, Alex doesn't actually remember most of his dreams - and he loves that.
3.
4. Alex is a very quick thinker. He can access his eidetic memory very easily (his mind is very well organized), so he's rarely indecisive or in need of more time. But he tries to take that extra time when he can.
5. Alex gets migraines when he stresses himself too much, and the tension shows up in his neck and shoulders.
6. Alex doesn't believe there's any evidence to support religious belief and can actually get kind of pedantic about it, which is why he tends to avoid religious conversations.
7. 1. Pokes holes in hot food with a claw before eating. Evenly spaced, carefully planned holes. Every time. 2. Adds up all the good and bad memories about people and does the math. If they're kinder than they are cruel, he likes them. 3. Deliberately holds himself back intellectually so as not to wind up estranged from his friends. He's gotten better about this, but hasn't given it up completely. 4. Never wears a shirt or shoes, unless he has to. Not even in class. 5. Loves video games, but hates FPSs. They're all mindless and boring to him - yes, even that one you love and think of as an exception to the rule. (I call this unusual because those dominate the video game market.)
8. He can't easily multitask. He has to see things through to completion; the worse his OCD is, the less able he is to pull himself away from a project until it's done.
