Alternate Options, Final Fantasy VII (Sephiroth/Zack/Cloud/Aeris)
Title: Alternate Options
Author: Aiko Namika
Rating: PG-13/R?
Warnings: MPreg, non-descriptive “het” sex, a twist away from the standard time-line (Nibelheim either never happened, or won’t) and…er, copious amounts of fluff. Really, I need a toothbrush right now.
Word count: 987
Prompt: Final Fantasy VII, Sephiroth/Zack/Cloud/Aeris: mpreg - She couldn't reproduce for some reason, so Gaia made sure someone could.
Summary: In the flowers of the secret church, there is peace, and beauty, and hope for the future.
Cloud was beautiful when pregnant, Aeris reflected, curving one hand tenderly over his rounded belly.
They had tried, time and time again, to get her pregnant, but for whatever reason, her body simply would not take, no matter which of her lovers was trying to be the father, or at what point in her cycle they tried it. However, some part of her knew desperately that she needed to reproduce, her biological clock ringing off the shelf, and so they had looked around for as many answers as they could find, before Aeris finally went into her church and prayed and didn’t come out for three days.
When she finally had emerged – and then slept for a day, and eaten a huge meal – she told them that Gaia herself was willing to help out, though it would mean that one of them would have to bear the child. Or rather, it would most likely have to be Cloud. Sephiroth bore an odd darkness within him that she doubted Gaia would accept, and though Zack’s hint of it would probably be bearable, the mako that had made him a SOLDIER had already been purposed to make him a warrior, not a bearer of children. Only Cloud, who had been untouched by mako or Lifestream until now, would work.
Cloud had accepted, and she had no idea if he knew just how utterly grateful she was to him for it, or how scared she had been that he would say no. She shouldn’t have worried, but she didn’t want to put pressure on him to accept (even though it was probably Gaia’s last chance at another Cetra child).
It had been child’s play for Sephiroth to arrange for a trip to Mideel for the four of them, and only a little more effort to get the Turks to look the other way (aided by the distraction provided to them in the form of baked goods) as they smuggled Aeris out of Midgar.
In Mideel she’d found a spring of hot water that was tainted with just enough Lifestream that the magic would work, while remaining diluted enough that neither of them would be poisoned. The two of them had stripped down – and Zack hadn’t allowed things to stay simple, because he was Zack and it was only after Sephiroth had scruffed the man that they managed to slip into the water together. Cloud had stood stiffly in her arms, uncertain, a little bit afraid, but when she’d met his eyes he’d smiled for her and there was such utter trust in that smile that she had to kiss him.
Then they were moving together, and it was different from the way they usually were, but it was just as good, with skin sliding against skin and their breaths intermingling, and their life intermingling. On the shore, Seph and Zack were twined around each other, and she wished that she could pull them in with her and Cloud, because she wanted them there with her, but she wasn’t sure how the magic that the Planet was working on them would react to two extra participants. So instead she focused herself on Cloud, and he was already focused on her, the way he always was when with any of them, but she was surprised as any of them when she slid inside of him, instead of the other way around.
And then there was just gasping and moans and whimpers, and his nails digging into her back as she returned the favor, and the knowledge that, all around them, the Lifestream was changing things to suit Gaia’s needs and wants. Afterward, the two of them had floated in the water and watched their lovers onshore as Sephiroth drove Zack to screaming orgasm, all their names on his lips.
After that they’d returned to Midgar, and Sephiroth and Zack had played dutiful SOLDIERs while Cloud settled himself into her home – and while Elmyra had been hesitant to have one of her daughter’s boyfriends living in the same house, she was quickly won over by his shy charm and careful manners. Having failed the SOLDIER test, Cloud was at loose ends until he could re-take it, and if this hadn’t come about he probably would have become a MP. He hated having to live off of the money that Zack and Sephiroth provided for the two of them, but once Aeris started taking him along when she went to sell her flowers, he felt a little more accomplished.
As time passed and the child within him developed they had to be more and more careful, for both of them, until they rarely traveled more than fifteen minutes’ walk from either her home or the church without Zack or Sephiroth there. Cloud hated the reminder that he’d become essentially helpless now, but he of all people knew that his current top speed was “waddle,” and though he kept a hand gun on his person at all times, that wouldn’t dissuade many people around. Especially not when he kept getting mistaken for a woman, though that was understandable, at least; he was pregnant.
But despite that helpless rage, and the fact that Sephiroth and Zack were still employed for ShinRa (though they were at least working on getting rid of Hojo eventually, because no matter what Sephiroth might say, he didn’t really need the man around), and the fact that at least for now Aeris was still being hunted by the Turks… Despite all of that, they were happy.
Curling herself around Cloud in the flowers of her church and smiling as she heard familiar footsteps approaching from the doorway, she closed her eyes. They were happy, and Cloud was beautiful and pregnant with the next Cetra, and Sephiroth and Zack were going to make wonderful fathers, no matter what confusion Seph may have had on the subject. That was all she needed right now.
