Due to popular demand we have decided to implement a sale for the next week. This is a perfect opportunity to use any of those outstanding coupons that you have laying around. We are including Permanently Insane accounts and Self-Committed accounts in this sale.

    are you choosing to wait to fill the rest of the support tickets with compensation for the accidental purge until after the sale? because it would seem like a good time now to compensate the rest of the people waiting while you're running a sale.

        it's been at least three weeks since the last time they were answered, no? and there are some tickets older than that i believe. i was just thinking now would be a good time, that way you don't lose out on money by giving them out when the sale prices are over.

    hey, i submitted a support ticket nearly two weeks ago about buying a rename token and then never receiving it, but my support ticket hasn't been answered yet on top of the fact that i never received the token i paid for. when can i expect an answer?

      As we are not a non-profit, we cannot take paypal donations, and in fact have had to disable our "Donate" button. To assist with our accounting, we would much prefer you to find a random account to gift a paid or permanent account to or to just purchase a coupon and hold onto it as long as you'd like.

    You mentioned on Facebook on Friday that the sale would end tomorrow if all purge support tickets were not handled by this morning, speaking from personal experience, I know mine have not been responded to yet. Do you have any news on this in conjunction with the sale?

      As I have not been able to close out the existing support requests, I am leaving the sale open until next weekend. We will post a further update when we have one.

    Getting a weird error sporadically on entries when I'm trying to read or comment.

    The latest came up with a page with Yahoo ads on it and said "This page appears to be broken." It referenced a DNS error and populated this address: http://api.mybrowserbar.com/cgi/errors.cgi?ct=15&type=dns&ccv=160&q=http://tap.insanejournal.com/6062.html?view=359342#t359342

    This is completely unrelated to the sale, but I wasn't sure where else to ask it: What happens to comms whose maintainers have been deleted and purged after being inactive? Just curious because I've seen several in the last few days.

    This isn't about the sale, but I'm not sure where else to ask. I suddenly can't connect to IJ from my home network, but I can from my phone. Has my IP accidentally been banned or something?

    Sorry to bother you, Squeaky, because I know you're overwhelmed right now, but I do have a question and I didn't know where else to ask it.

    When you do a name recovery by e-mail through the system, why does the list include your deleted and purged journals? I had that happen to me last night and I was confused and a little frustrated. :)

    Squeaky, I know you're a busy fella, and I know that ads are absolutely necessary, but you are advertising pornography on this website and it's absolutely absurd. The other ads about gay fanfiction were way more tasteful than "Tap here for porn". Many of us access this site while in the company of others around, and it's absolutely NSFW and not safe around children, and just inappropriate for a writing community.

    I'm going to add to the requests to get rid of that iFriends ad. I'm not a prudish person but I think it's offensive, and I'd prefer that my corporate office not see that kind of thing if they're monitoring me while I'm at work. (Skanky blonde with see-thru panties? Yuck. Do not want, plz.) Thank you.

    Why can't I get a notification when someone uploads a new userpic or when someone unfriends me? The options are there but they're greyed out, I can't click on them.
