Username Purge (an update)

This is going to take probable 3-4 weeks to get all of the inactive accounts as there are a lot of them and I don't want to kill the servers doing this.

As always you can see what usernames are available here.

  • I can't believe how much people are whining about usernames they clearly haven't used in years. Keep up the good work, and don't let whiny username hoarders looking to make a dollar change anything.
    • I can't believe how much people are whining about feedback in a comment section that clearly calls for it. Think your plans through better next time, Squeaky, and don't let the whiny spammers looking to shoot down people for caring about their accounts continue whining.
      • I'm sure he thought his plans through just fine. Just because you don't like the way he chose to do something doesn't mean he didn't actually think about it. If you cared about your account, you could do the very simple thing of logging in and setting it back to active, if it'd been deleted. Or you could do the very simple thing of logging in anytime over the last year and a half.
    • Except plenty of us are worried not about our own accounts, but about losing content created by other people who have moved on, content which adds value for us as current, active users.
      • how about copy it and repost it somewhere else yourself, on a site that won't delete journals for inactivity? make it clear it's a memorial. how has no one thought of this yet?
        • Easier to do if the deletions are announced ahead of time, rather than after the fact.
    • Not everyone having an issue with this and speaking out about it is trying to "make a dollar". All my accts are private and personal and I would never sell them. I think selling journal accounts is ridiculous.
