About the Ads
Due to the overwhelming load of bad ads that the other ad companies have been delivering to us, I have reverted the site back to using only google ads. While not having the diversity of multiple ad companies might hurt us in the short term, I am worried about that harm that the pop-ups, redirects, and other bad things that the other ad companies have been doing will affect us worse in the long term.

If it helps, I think the icon-uploading problem started around 9:00 last night. Just before then, I was able to upload a bunch of icons to a new account with no problems at all.

Why aren't most of the support tickets being answered? This is ridiculous. if you don't have enough volunteers, ask for more! There is no shortage of people who'd help you. You really need to "get your thoughts together" or whatever and make a new post NOW, because IJ communication is looking really bad lately.

Hey, hey, calm down, please. Give the guy time to actually look into things. I looked at the support tickets, and A LOT of what I saw were for the exact same issue that people have been posting here, since last night. They're repeats of the same issue that's going on sitewide.

I'm not talking about this issue. I'm talking about support tickets that have been outstanding for weeks. If you scroll back, there are support tickets, some from my friends, that haven't even been answered at all, three weeks out.

I'm just saying, please calm down. Squeaky's done a great job with the site so far, and fixing things. Just have some faith in him, and at least be polite about asking for things. I mean, having some issues is better than not having IJ at all.

There are a fair amount of support tickets that are bugs that we are still investigating and a lot of them require further investigation. Hence the delay in a lot of them being answered.

Now if you're an experienced individual who would like to volunteer, we'd be glad for the help.

Then there really needs to be more communication, because there are sitewide bugs and individual bugs that have existed for weeks and weeks, with no timeline to be fixed, with no updates since that one post a few weeks ago. The frustration would drop dramatically if it didn't take commenting on news posts five times (because the first four went unanswered) to find out what was going on. Why isn't there a news post so people don't feel ignored?

I have no technological experience, or I would volunteer happily.

I am having trouble uploading icons. It keeps giving me this error:

It is a known issue, as is the new account creation. Both features broke late last night.

I don't know about you, but reading ONE page of comments doesn't take me all day, and I think ONE page alone is sufficient enough to know it is a widespread problem.

the so-called "communication issue" that everyone is having? it's no where near as bad as gj. if ~squeaky remains silent for six months then posts stating "you have five icons now. cope, bitches!" then the comparisons to gj can start.

i realize most of us have been burned by both lj and gj completely sucking at it, but ~squeaky doesn't. he hasn't before, and i don't think it's going to start now.

It needs to be said that GJ didn't cost money. IJ does. IJ isn't anywhere near as bad as GJ, but paying for a service means a higher level of quality. I don't think squeaky sucks, but lately there's been very little communication about long-standing bugs and issues. I realize he has a real job, but we're paying real money. If he doesn't have the time, he needs to hire more staff.

I can't seem to make another journal. The CAPTCHA picture does not show up, and when I tried to use the audio version instead, that didn't work either.

This is also another bug being reported. Currently, there's only the upload icons and new journal creation that seems broken. If there's anything else, please open a support request.

It wont let me put a support ticket in, but the create page isn't working. The images are gone and when you try to load them or use the sound, it says that the image/audio captcha does not exist.

My friend and I are trying to create a new journal and all we get for the part where you type in the numbers and letters to prove you're not a robot is a red x. It won't refresh either. And we've both tried the audio and we get an error message when trying to play it.
