Welcome GreatestJournal Users
I have been in touch with the owner of GreatestJournal and their servers are overloaded. Due to this they are currently telling anyone who attempts to create a journal over there to come to InsaneJournal. We are prepared to accept you and hope you enjoy your time here. I know that the owner of GreatestJournal wants to give his user's the best experience possible.
But for the time being, feel free to make your home here.
Note: Please know that there is no conspiracy, GreatestJournal and InsaneJournal are independent sites, they are owned by independent people. This is what this is it is and nothing more.

Nah, just kidding. Thanks for the heads up!
Very cool of you to extend a welcome and a helping hand.
This is why I love this place.
Just wanting to know, since you're in touch with them -- are they shutting down? ._. We can't seem to get a word from them at all yet...
Hopefully IJ can play host to everybody till they fic things (or they can move the RPG here).
Keep up the good work
Welcome, GJ users!
Insanejournal would be perfect if not for those annoying and un-get-riddable-of messages from your evil other self that lurks on the home page...
ladyphoenix9, who also came from livejournal.
I used LJ for five years, and after hearing about the
"new era" for LJ, I decided it was time for something
different. I just hope I can get most of my LJ friends
to make the jump too... :)
Either way, LJ isn't getting any more money from me... IJ is! :)
...too bad you guys don't do embeded video,
but I have a public blog I can use for that from
now on. (it's my website)
I'm glad you're able to take us, but hope you have more servers in your budget! I'll help out by getting a Permanently Insane account, and encouraging my friends to do so, too.
Looking for help
and if we do need to move to a bigger server, i know i would totally buy my friends account goodies to help pay for it.
oh! and i remember how there were comments on the last post about how the thought the colors were ...um, bright.
but i don't really mind them. you could for all reasoning do something like hot pink and puke green with splatters of blue, red and brown. now that would be insane.
but, i was thinking a reddish color and grey. but meh. i'm just tossing out ideas. actually the colors on this journal are easy on the eyes.
Was reading the news over on GJ, and you might want to make a reminder on here that the free account friending limit is 1000, not 100 and that paid/permanent users can have unlimited friends. Several people are still under the impression that it's 100 over there.
Also, you might want to mention that the interface look can be changed through the site options, if they don't like the standard interface of the site.
I think that would alleviate some of the issues users over there have. :)
Just as a side note- and I totally understand if you're way too busy to answer this- is the mobile IJ site known to be working properly? I would like to be able to access the site with my BlackBerry, but for some reason I can't get my login to work, either on the Mobile version or on the regular site. Is this a known issue, or should I contact my cell phone carrier?
*But absolutely amazing and we wouldn't have it any other way. <3 Tweak
Can you tell me... now that you've opened your arms to GJ users, are you really prepared to take on what could be a massive migration? The RPG that I belong to is considering moving here, and I created this journal to check out IJ, get a feel for how it's different/similar. I like what I see here so far, but I'm worried many others will as well, and I'd hate to see your site fall apart from the same influx that seems to be destroying GJ. I don't know squat about servers and all the tech stuff, I'm just curious if you've crunched the numbers to see if this site will be able to handle a massive jump in population.
