MALFOY PREGNANCY CONFIRMED, PLANS FOR SPSS EVENT REVEALED
Rita Skeeter - DP London
LONDON - News of the pregnancy for newlyweds Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy broke unexpectedly on their wedding day, but what was thought to be malicious gossip has since been confirmed as a fact, and indeed a fact worthy of celebration. Fresh back from a secretive honeymoon in an undisclosed tropical locale, a glowing Narcissa Black joyfully tells this excited reporter that the story is true.
"We are simply ecstatic. And a firstborn boy! Who could ask for more?" gushed the new Malfoy, who was clearly pleased but never once unladylike throughout the interview. "I am thrilled for the opportunity to be a mother so soon into our marriage. An heir is what every pureblood marrige hopes for, and to be graced with one so soon is a blessing."
When the topic of her upcoming social came up, however, Malfoy grew more serious.
"I consider my charity work very important. While I wouldn't dream of disregarding my responsibilities as head of the SPSS, nor any of my other various society contributions, I do plan on raising my son myself. I will not get a nanny. This means I will expect my assistant to take on more of the responsibility herself."
Malfoy went on to say that Veronica Smethely, her assistant, was an invluable part of the wedding planning process, and that she thinks Smethley is more than up to the challenge of the increased workload. Such high praise from a woman whose standards are so notoriously high is suggestion enough that society may be seeing more of Smethley.
"Furthermore, I would like to put out a call for donations," Malfoy added as we concluded the interview. "This year's SPSS function will be a high tea and silent auction in Magisterium Park, and we are now accepting items of interest to auction off. Donators will receive recognition in the programme and if they are donating on behalf of a business, that business will be put on a preferred list. It's a win-win situation."
Offers of donation can be owled to Veronica Smethley for review.
