Who: Bellatrix Lestrange, Alecto and Amycus Carrow When: Friday evening Where: Lestrange Manor grounds, Norfolk What: Training, of a sort Rating: Violence Status: In progress
Bellatrix was not a woman who was accustomed to losing and while she refused to admit that was what had happened at Millicent Bagnold's house, she had been forced into retreating, and that was quite simply unacceptable. So, training.
There were other things she should have been doing. Actually killing Bagnold, for one thing, as the Dark Lord had ordered. And she would. She would not fail her Lord again. But first she had to regain her focus and that meant a return to basics. Bellatrix had been hoping she might recruit more than just the Carrow twins to fight against her as what she had wanted was a true challenge, but she supposed they would simply have to do for the time being. Instead she had set to create the most inhospitable environment possible for their "training." The ground was soaked and muddy from too much spring rain, so much so that Bellatrix's boots sunk several centimetres into the muck as she leaned casually against one of the trees at the edge of where moorland met forest. The sun had dipped behind the hills, leaving the sky in that nebulous state between dark and light, the house itself barely visible in the distance. They - all three of them - would be blind and hardly mobile, just as Bellatrix wanted.
She twirled her wand between her fingers as she waited (impatiently) for Amycus and Alecto to arrive. The idea that they might not show after all was not one that she even considered - there were fates far worse than a duel that she would inflict upon anyone who dared to stand her up.
