Draco was a bit miffed that his quick and witty half-truth hadn't gotten more of a rise out of Hermione. No matter. He was sure he would have another chance before she or he stormed off. He gave her a half smile at her response.
"I see," he replied with a hint of a sneer. Draco couldn't imagine Muggle university. All the useless science and math and things that allowed Muggles to struggle along. Why would Hermione bother when she could do magic and do things that many wizards and witches couldn't? "And what are you studying?" he asked, feigning interest. "Or are you trying to go to parties and discos and such because you always had your nose in a book at Hogwarts?"
Draco regretted his tone being as snide as it way. He gave her a shrug. "Not that it served you badly. I'm just saying, you could have used to lighten up a bit." He looked away and shrugged.
Since she didn't offer a toast, he took a long sip of his drink to help him with the bit of nerves he felt. Though, he had to admit, he was having a bit of fun verbally sparring with Hermione again.
Hopefully this time it wouldn't end with him with a broken nose again...
