Spencer fouls herself trapped by her professor's intense gaze. She opened he mouth to say something, but she couldn't find the words. At the same time, she couldn't look away. She closed her mouth and met Carrow's gaze, trying to show that she wasn't intimidated, by her beauty or her actions. Regardless of the sound of her rapid heartbeats.
"I'm not dense." Spencer snapped reflexively. She had always had a short fuse when it came to insults to her intelligence. She closed her mouth though as Carrow continued. She found herself blushing at such high praise at how she was by far superior to everyone else. The question was, though, what unique qualities she possessed to make her so valuable. At Carrow's last comment, Spencer scrunched her brow. She wasn't sure if she wanted or could handle a connection with the older woman. "We don't have a connection. You just...practically raped me a few hours ago."
She knew that wasn't true, that she, as much as she denied it, was consensual about it. Eventually.
"Yes ma'am." Spencer nodded. It disturbed her that she felt a small ball in her stomach that felt scarily familiar to jealousy as Carrow mentioned the Head Girl.
Nodding and deciding that the sooner she got started, the sooner she could escape, spencer moved over to the desk and sat down. Glancing once more at Professor Carrow, she picked up the book she was halfway through and turned to pick up where she left off.
