Spencer kept her eyes trained on the ground as Professor Carrow spoke to her. She couldn't hide the tinge of pink on her cheeks as her pride swelled of it's own accord in response to her intelligence being recognized. It was a weakness of hers.
Research. Now they were in Spencer's comfort zone. Though, she had to admit she was a little nervous about exactly what type of things she would be researching.
As her professor gestured her to the desk that was clearly meant for her, she moved cautiously towards it. Her eyes widened as she scanned the stacks of the books. She had thought that no book could scare her, that she was a very open-minded reader. But these were...extremely inappropriate! Though, she had to admit she was a little curious. But only a little, and for purely academic purposes.
"These...How are these appropriate for class?" Spencer asked, but nonetheless sitting down at the desk, knowing that it wasn't likely that Professor Carrow would sway from making her read these.
Looking at the one that her professor told her to start with, she picked it up and turned it over, reading the back cover, curiosity getting the best of her. As she read it, her blush deepened. How was this even relevant to muggle studies? She wasn't sure it was and she had to restrain a shiver at what it meant that this dark professor was making her read such things.
Still, damn her Ravenclaw curiosity, she opened the book and began to read the first few pages.
