Alecto smiled widely though the expression lacked any real mirth or happiness. "I'm glad you see it that way." She leaned forward and stared at Spencer. It was an awkwardly long time before she spoke again. "What year are you, Miss Fawcett?"
The professor's expression changed at the second part of Spencer's statement. She regarded her coldly. "I see," she mused in a disgusted tone. Reaching up to her desk, she rested her fingertips on a binder of papers. Lightly, she tapped her fingers on it as she kept her gaze on the young Ravenclaw.
"What do you mean when you said that the world is greater for all these...parts?" she challenged with the cold regard of a snake eyeing a mouse.
