Spencer waited nervously outside of the door. Surely Professor Carrow had heard her and surely she was in her office. It would have been beyond rude to have sent for her so hastily and not even bother to be on time. Finally hearing permission to enter, Spencer drew in a breath and opened the door.
As she entered, Spencer quickly took stock of the room and was disturbed (to say the least) at the new decorating scheme. Sure, she had spent most of her life in the wizarding world, her mother always made sure she was very familiar with the muggle world and its history. If fact, Spencer personally thought that muggle history was just as intriguing as wizarding history.
"Yes ma'am." Spencer spoke, her voice low, but steady. At the command, Spencer sat in a chair in front of Professor Carrow's desk. She kept her back straight and her ankle crossed with her hands in her lap.
Professor Carrow's form was not lost on Spencer and if the woman wasn't so frightening, Spencer may have found herself looking a bit more.
"That's correct." Spencer said with a nod. She enjoyed studying about the muggle world, having always felt a connecting with her mother there a midst all of the wizarding schooling. Her tone was flat, though if one paid close attention could hear a slight nervous break in her words.
"I had an extra period to fill and the only ones that fit my schedule were this and divination, which I'm rubbish at." She explained herself as calmly as she could. She wasn't stupid and she knew that taking a muggle studies class of one's own freewill was something that set off alarms with this new administration.
