Kara had been trying to be supportive of her family while at the same time not being too disapproving of Danica's family. It was close to a state of war between the House of El and the Amazons. Kara, because of her relationship with Danica, felt trapped in a no-man's land between the two families. She couldn't be too much on one side or another without alienating the other side.
Arriving at the mall in a blue skirt and green sweater, winter was upon Metropolis. Pausing in the entrance courtyard of the mall, the blonde looked around for her date. Would Danica be waiting for her here? Sneaking around in order to even see each other made meeting up hard. Taking her cellphone out of her purse, she typed a short text message: AM HERE WHERE ARE U?

"That would not be more interesting," Damian answered dryly. "You also are forgetting that there is nothing you could offer me that I would want."
Continuing to stare at her, he was still waiting for her turn. She took so long to make a move that this game was dragging out forever. Girls, blah. Footsteps coming this way made him tense. It was his sister. Also blonde, like the girl across from him now. A tragedy for Christina.
"Steph? Can I talk to you?" Chrissy asked, ignoring Damian. "We are not finished," the boy declared crossly, not willing to give up until he had won.
