Who: Megan Jones and Hannah Abbott
What: The big date!

Megan had been on pins and needles all week. She had decided, as she held hands with Hannah, the weekend before in Hogsmeade that she was going to try and give Hannah her dream date. That was easier said than done, it turned out, but with a lot of effort Megan thought that she had succeeded.
Right after their date Megan had asked Hannah out for another proper date the next weekend but had been very light on the details. Just before lunch, Megan had left Hannah a note telling her to meet Megan in the Astronomy Tower at nine sharp.
Megan was there, quite early, had set everything up and then began to pace as she waited for Hannah to arrive. She was dressed a bit uncharacteristically. Megan wore a light, medium length dress that was red and gauzy with purple and white flowers on it. Her feet were covered in strappy sandals and her hair was down over her shoulders. She ever wore make up and was careful not to make her eyes too dark.
In the tower was a pile of blankets and pillows near the balcony. There were trays and trays of snacks and drinks that she’d procured from the House Elves. Clearly, they had gotten carried away as twenty people couldn’t have eaten everything that was there.
The food ranged from pies, cakes and desserts to cheese and chocolate, whipped cream and even fondue. She’d gotten a bottle of wine from Claire and had set it on the table. Even a small fire burned in the fireplace she’d charmed into existence so they wouldn’t be too cold.
Megan had something very big to tell Hannah. She tried to keep her nervousness in check while she waited. |
