Who: Jessica Runcorn and Penny Quirke What: First date? When: January 20th, Friday. 6:00pm Where: Jessica's London flat. Rating: PG, for now
Penny had found her mind wandering to pleasant daydreams often in the days that lead up to meeting Jessica at her flat. It was confirmed that she fancied other women which meant they had a chance. And the chemistry between them was undeniable…
But, she had to be careful. She couldn't put Orla in a position again where she got attached to one of her lover only to have her leave. Her father's death had been hard enough without having to deal with yet more loss. It was even loss that was far harder to understand.
Trying not to put the cart in front of the horse, Penny resolved to just have a good time. After all, Jessica might not even consider it a date. Penny was a decade older than she as best Penny could figure. Could such a beautiful young woman be interested in her?
Knowing they would be with Muggles, Penny picked out her clothes carefully. A pair of black slacks, black leather boots, a large, fluffy white cardigan and a pink scarf was the outfit she chose. She wore a wool coat that was part-coat, part-cloak in design and looked very fashionable.
She left far too early in her excitement and spent half an hour wandering the neighborhood where Jessica lived to kill time. It was very charming, in its own way. Though, being in such unusual surroundings for her, Penny's hand remained on her wand that was hidden in her pocket.
A few minutes before six, she approached the door to Jessica's flat and knocked lightly. Penny tried to control her nervousness as she waited. |
