Who: Lavender Brown and Fleur Delacour
What: Lavender is sitting in class, nursing her latest crush
When: Late in Lavender’s 6th year

Lavender had come into class in her usual gaggle of friends. Oblivious to the trials and tribulations of Harry and Dumbledore, she was having a pretty fun year. There were lots of boys to crush on and lots of girls to gossip about. She and Parvati spent many nights up late talking and having a great time. Even though the pressure about the NEWTs was already on, Lavender didn’t let it dampen her fun.
As usual, Lavender was well put together even though it was late in the day. Her hair hung down over her shoulders and her make up was fresh, having just done it in the loo before class. Though she always wanted to look her best, but it was even more so now that she had a new, drop dead gorgeous, Charms teacher.
Sitting at the very front of the room, something Parvati had fought but eventually gave in, Lavender set up her books, parchment and quill even though she wasn’t going to use them. It seemed that she remembered nothing of the class, but it certainly looked like she was paying attention.
Her tie was loosened just a little and her skirt was hemmed just a hair shorter than regulations allowed. Lavender always put her uniform together just right. Even before her new professor showed up in class, she was already wearing a dreamy smile.
“You’re pathetic,” Parvati chuckled next to her.
Lavender turned and grinned. Leaning in, she whispered, “You think that’s pathetic? I’m a little wet already…” She grinned impishly.
Parvati wrinkled her nose. Shaking her head, she turned away and Lavender went back to waiting for Professor Delacour to arrive. |
