Lord Voldemort, King, President and Ruler of Magical and Muggle Britain as well as several Eastern countries, sat pensively in the large and ornate chair that had been placed for him in the main room of his house. Here he recieved visitors, though certain priviledged men and women were allowed into the rooms beyond. He had recieved disturbing and thought-provoking news that morning - Regulus Black was still alive.
Voldemort remembered being somewhat disappointed in the fiery young man who had seemed so loyal and enthusiastic, once upon a time, on hearing that he had disappeared. He had assumed that the boy had turned coward and either fled the country or decided to rid the world of his cowardice permenantly by jumping into something deep or off something high. And if many people gave him, Voldemort, the credit that was just fine by him.
But now, his followers reported that a thin, pale young man had presented himself to a pair of wizards in London, and asked to see the Dark Lord himself. And this man professed to be Regulus Black. Voldemort's hand tightened on his wand as he anticipated the meeting. Did he think he could just walk back into his country, now that the outcome was decided, and gain entry back into the ranks of his most faithful? No. Regulus had some questions to answer, and Voldemort's fingers itched at the thought of what he would do if he didn't like the answers.
"My Lord?" said the man by the door - Voldemort had forgotten his name. "They have arrived."
"Show them in," the Dark Lord announced in a high, cold voice.
