Lorcan's bedroom was a lot less opulent than some fans might envisage. Certainly there was no elaborate coffin and even the bed wasn't some grand four poster with red velvet curtains. Lorcan didn't really need such things after all. The sturdy curtains on the windows were good enough at keeping out the sun and they were never opened.
However, as bedrooms went, the room was clearly that of someone with money and a liking for luxury. The bed was king-size with an elegant but understated headboard in warm wood, the sheets the best money could buy, the pillows and duvet all feather and down, and there was expensive artwork on the walls. It wasn't a cluttered room, Lorcan was very tidy, but neither was it sterile, the decor much warmer than might be expected of a half-vampire.
This was perhaps why the woman sitting up in the bed looked a little confused and yet thrilled at the same time. Lorcan, however, was still fast asleep. Unsurprisingly he was notoriously hard to wake in the morning, the time when most vampires slept, and it took a very loud alarm or Lindsay physically waking him to get him up. That was why being his PA was quite the job, because he required a little more care than many celebrities, simply because of his nature. His PA had to be sure to wake him in the mornings, to check any venues in the day exposed him to as little sunlight as possible, keep track of his blood potions, cover up any PR problems should his vampiric urges take over (luckily rare), ensure he went to check-ups at Mungo's and so forth.
The woman didn't know any of these things as she tentively leaned over the sleeping half-vampire. She still couldn't quite believe that her evening out had resulted in being picked up by the singer and a whole night in his bed. Fantasies of becoming the one girl in his life were already popping up in her head. But first she wanted to wake him, tempt him into another round and then, well... she smiled as the fantasies expanded. However, little shakes and calling his name weren't working, so she decided on a tactic that always worked for her - opening the curtains.
Lorcan was in a very peaceful sleep when he started dreaming about walking close to a fire. This was an extremely unpleasant situation, especially when his jacket sleeve caught fire. It soon became clear this wasn't a dream and his arm really was 'burning'. With a yell he woke, snarling with his fangs bared as he clamped a hand to his shoulder, the skin already turning red. "WHAT THE FUCK?"
The sudden change from charming lover to extremely pissed-off vampire stunned the woman so much she froze, staring in horror, unaware of the bedroom door opening.
