WHO; Luna and Open!
WHERE; A hallway
WHAT; Who knows?
WHEN; Early afternoon
STATUS; Incomplete.
The sun. The bird. The sky. Swift hands glanced over the parchment in her lap, dragging swift, smooth strokes of charcoal across the paper. She dipped her fingers; the black thickened. She lifted them; a streak of grey. She closed her eyes and could almost smell the scent of freshly baked bread, wafting over, riding on a highway of air. She smiled, and the faint bustle of the streets could be heard.
And then, a break -- "Oh no," she muttered to herself, brows knitting at the almost juvenile mistake. The stroke was wrong, was off, the feeling not captured accurately. Her nimble fingers, adept with the eraser, removed the mark, but with such an interruption she struggled to regain her sense. At this momentary lapse she returned back to the hallway, with its pillars of stones supporting the balcony over her head. Sunlight streamed in through the archways; the grass gingerly encroaching upon the delicate stone pattern of the floor.
And for this moment, the work was forgotten; Luna stood upon the chair she sat at, breathing in the fresh air, and jumped off it, running into the open field.
