Charms. It was her last class on Tuesdays and she had been more than a little happy to see it done and over with. After an entire summer of freedom, returning to the strict schedule of Hogwarts (or any boarding school for that matter) was a rather tough thing to accomplish neatly, which, of course, was exactly why she was in her current predicament. She'd been so excited to escape the stuffy charms classroom that, in her haste, she'd left behind her Charms textbook. She might have left it until the following day when she would find herself, once again, in Flitwick's presence, but her Head of House had so kindly assigned them a good deal of homework for the following class. It might have been the beginning of term but she wasn't going to arrive without it completed.
Having returned to the Charms corridor, Su had run straight into Peeves new battleground. Several puddles of Pumpkin juice already decorated the stone floor, evidence that several other unlucky souls had already tried to pass through. At first, Peeves hadn't been visible but the moment she decided to chance it and take a step into the corridor a large red balloon had exploded at her feet, completely soaking her new Miu Miu flats. With a shriek, she had jumped back, her eyes glancing from her ruined shoes to narrow at Peeves cackling form.
"You good for nothing menace!" she's shouted, her annoyance and anger getting the better of her. She knew well enough not to goad Peeves, but her sensibilities were currently sidetracked by her now soggy footwear. True to form, Peeves took the comment none to kindly and tossed another balloon (this time purple) toward her, leaving her with just enough time to duck back around the corner before the balloon burst against the stone wall.
Fuming, Su stood behind the safety of the corner, her mind busy in an attempt to figure out how she was going to get her Charms text. She needed that bloody book.
