05:41 pm - This and That * Hope all who celebrate Thanksgiving had a wonderful time spent with family and friends. * The Girl Child went to the Black Friday sales this morning. At 4:49, while I was doing some serious sleeping, she texted. Scared me to death. Why did she text at that unholy hour, you ask... because she spotted John Travolta at the mall. Jesus. She's a freak. * The Boy Child had to work today - so no shopping for him. Instead, he gave the Girl a list and his debit card. He gave his sister his fucking debit card. When she was going to a mall. The boy is an idiot. Honestly. * It's chilly here in the Sunshine State tonight. Lovely thing, that. 10:56 pm - The fandom fairy did it again Youuuuu, fandom. *happy sigh* I always knew I was insane. Now I have the permanent account here to prove it. lol At the end of the shittiest of weeks (at least from Wednesday on) this gift means more to me than you can imagine. Thank you so, so much for this most generous gift!!! And extra user pics too! *is flabbergasted* I was thinking what I could give back to fandom, and the only thing I came up with is icons. So, if there is a scene you always wanted to have iconized or a text icon or animation you always craved, comment on this post and I'll make them over the weekend.

03:45 pm - 101, 102, 512, and 513 Tonight! Just a reminder We (hopefully it'll be a we and not just an I) will be watching the beginning and the end tonight at qaf_marathons. I will get started at 8pm EST, watch 101 and 102 straight through. Then probably take a few minutes intermission and then watch 512 and 513 straight through starting at about 10pm EST. Please join me! :D And if you've never marathoned with me before just an fyi that I don't often get very deep with my comments, but you can feel free to. Or stay on the shallow end with me. Why am I doing this? Because I have an urge to watch them both in one sitting and look at where they all started out and where they ended up without a ton of focus tonight on the hows and whys they got there.

01:12 pm - CHANEL! I can't handle the crowds on Black Friday, and besides, my holiday shopping, such as it is, is done. (We're buying for the kids only this year, due to the financial problems of one of my brothers). So my sisters in law and I are going to see "Coco Before Chanel," while my brothers and their sons do their manly, boy-ly thing without us. And then this evening, not_yet_defined is doing a marathon of 101-102 and 512-513 over at qaf_marathons, so that's what I'll be doing when I get home! See you then! Tags: pimpage

03:32 pm First, glad to know I'm not the only one thankful for many things ^^ Second...I survived Black Friday!! I was way off about not having customers. Which I guess is a good thing for the company. Luckily I had no one get mad at me and no one who was impatient or rude. Yay! Also, my drawer was even, neither short or over. Oddly...my manager got to home earlier than me, but whatever. I'm not complaining. We also had the other cashier today go home after only six hours even though she was scheduled for eight. O.o I got in an extra half hour in addition due to not having anyone to cover me. So instead of the eight hours I was scheduled and then an extra hour to cover until the next cashier was to come in, I got nine and a half. That's going to be a sweet paycheck next time. I have to get up at five tomorrow to be in to work for seven, but it's better than today's four. I also did indeed sleep last night thanks to my mum giving me a sleeping pill. ^^ Lastly...I got my first pay check in today. And dear lord I did clock a good number of hours the first two weeks I was there. I went out to get myself a pair of black jeans to wear to work and a black button up. I've yet to get socks or the cushions for my shoes, but now I have awesome clothes to wear to work. So some time next week I have to go out to find socks, the cushions for my shoes, and underwear...but I got my first pay check survived Black Friday and got new comfy work clothes. Yay! Current Mood: exhausted

HI!!!!!! *waves* I'M BACK!!!!! *hugs fandom like WHOA* I MISSED ALL OF YOU!!!♥ *bounces* *is totally happy to be back* THIS is where I've been.Met some nice people and had some fun with them.Everything else was totally boring.Endless recitations,lots of theoretical stuff...and NO Internet,OMG!!! *sobs* ;) I took my new mpreg!ass!baby! with me (who still needs a name) and watched four eps of QAF last night!!YAY!! I missed my connecting train in Oldenburg because of the delay of the train from Bad Zwischenahn and froze my ass off on THIS goddamn track for TWO FUCKING HOURS!!No,I couldn't go back into the station because it was full of people.I am not claustrophobic BUT that was simply too much!Shit,you should have seen the crowd!!There were people EVERYWHERE.They even sat on the stairs and I practically had to crawl over them to get to the track.That's why I've stayed out in the cold....*shivers* *kicks Deutsche Bundesbahn for almost NEVER being on time* *iz off to take a loooong,HOT bath* Later.... 02:29 pm - I'm so full!!!! Let's see.. Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, yams, ham, prime rib, cranberry sauce and deviled eggs. I am 2 seconds from a nap. Oh, and I'm in Oregon, and guess what??? It's raining. lol Ah, Oregon Liquid Sunshine, makes everything all green. Hope everyone is having a great day, and if you don't celebrate...go stuff yourself anyway. I love my flist. Many of you I've known for years, some just a few months. You guys make me laugh, make me think, make me crazy...and I wouldn't have it any other way. *hugs teh flist* Oh, and cause Mistress Bunny asked... What Brian/Justin scene makes you melt? There's several, but most of those are sexual. *g* However, this one is so schmooptastically delicious, you can't help but say, "Awwwwww." I give you Chiquitita. I can pinpoint it to the nanosecond: see the look on Brian's face right before he closes in on Justin for the kiss? That's it; that's my scene; that is why I love this show so much.

12:07 pm - What the Gusmas? First, Happy Thanksgiving to all! A couple of new fandom friends don't know the origin of the name of the current celebration in qaf_drabbles , "Gusmas," so I thought I'd explain. Once upon a time, four fangirls wrote a story together, and the unbelievable url_girl illustrated it. (Well, we didn't write it, exactly -- it was divinely inspired, so it might be better said we channeled it.) It was the story of Assbaby!Jesus (Gus for short), and of course, it's his birth we celebrate during the Solstikwanzanukkamas Season, which runs from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day. As I was stuffing the turkey and flipping the channels from one parade to another, I had to smile when I saw Cyndi Lauper performing in the Macy's Parade (in a pink castle, which made me laugh out loud) and a few minutes later Miss Gloria Gaynor performing "I Will Survive". I can't wait for the mini-marathon now! I am thankful for all of the wonderful qaf communities here on IJ and those who share their unique talents and love with all of us all year long!
