Jo had made her entrance just as the plan had begun to be formed and teams were made, hearing that she’d be partnered with Dean and Deena. Their names were first to pop into her mind, because well, she still held the torch for Dean and Deena – not that she swung the other way, but she felt more connected to Dean’s female version. Like she was able to reach a place with her that she was unable to with Dean, and as for Sarah, she was a nice girl. The Winchesters and the Sterlings had made her wonder – off and on – if she had a male counterpart. Time would only tell, or not.
“Hey, sorry I’m late.”
There had been no plausible excuse that Jo could have made, and there would be none thought of. If they had an issue with her slacking behind, more so Dean – he could take it up with her. The way Jo saw it, she was here and ready to get going. When she heard an unfamiliar voice pop up behind her just as she settled down into a chair she had dragged over to the table, Jo glanced over her shoulder to see it was a waitress asking what she wanted. “Uh…,” smiling. “Just a cheeseburger and fries with coke. Thanks.”
“So teams, huh? Caught it as I popped in. Sure that’s a good idea? I mean, that chick has managed to stay ahead of us… way ahead.”
