Please post your own wish list of ten things, whether fandom or real life).
I'm not going to do the formal wish list group this year. I'm just posting my wishes in my journal. I do like to read everyone's wishes to see if there is something I can fulfill.

| FIC: Sex, Lies, and Audiobooks |
[Nov. 23rd, 2009|03:24 am] |
Title: Sex, Lies, and Audiobooks Author: RaeWhit ( aka joanwilder) Team: Snitch! Genre: Alive and Kicking (EWE) Prompts: Secrets and Lies, Coming Home Rating/Warnings/Kinks: NC-17, mild bondage, whipping Word Count: 48,000+ Summary: Belonging and deserving, needing and wanting—desires of the human heart that Severus and Harry must face when they're forced to the little village of Lochdubh to settle a very late codicil of Albus Dumbledore's will.
Author Notes: The village of Lochdubh and its inhabitants in this story are the property of BBC Scotland (from the series Hamish Macbeth). All things Harry Potter belong to J.K. Rowling et al. I'd be remiss if I didn't express my appreciation to Rudyard Kipling for his masterpiece, Captains Courageous.
This is my journal posting of my 2009 Mixed snarry_games fic. My heartfelt appreciation to jadzialove for the excellent beta reading, to whitecotton for help with Scottish-izing my Scottish, and to sestra_prior for her assistance with British questions.
This is posted in six parts; subsequent parts have been linked.

Ok. I am thinking of applying for another character at FTH using Justin Bartha. Does anyone have a brother or husband (not a Death Eater) that he could possibly fit? I would specifically be using icons of him from the first National Treasure. |

Just got my Archive of Our Own email. Am playing around and uploading fic right now. It seems to be working very well even on the CRAPPIEST CONNECTION EVER. I hope it becomes popular.
Having warnings issues, as per some tags and warnings discussions I have seen, but I never really know what to warn for anyway. Maybe if it repeatedly stresses me out I will blanket warn everything and write explanations in the author notes. I mean, I'll always label explicit stuff: after that, caveat lector. Or something. (I will probably never actually take the caveat lector approach.)
So who's on it already?
ETA: Ha, timing! I write an entry and it goes down for maintenance. |

| NaNoWriMo Attempt |
[Nov. 22nd, 2009|06:46 pm] |
Thanks to the_minx_17, I have not experienced helium hand and volunteered to pinch hit. blame it on the phase of the moon...I volunteered.
I spent this afternoon writing on my Nano attempt.
7948 / 25000 words. 32% done!
I looked over what I had, scrapped a section, did a rewrite and my goal will be 25K by the end of the month. Anything above that number is a bonus at this point. |

It's me, doing things and having culture and stuff! that is the entrance to Jones Hall from the underground parking garage that spans the underbelly of the entire Theater District. Cool art, for an underground lair. :D
Brahms was excellent. Mahler was odd. It was a great night.

| Alternate Lifestyles: Poly Relationships |
[Nov. 21st, 2009|04:57 pm] |
the_minx_17 wrote a wonderful post yesterday about bdsm. Her post inspired irana to write a post on consent.
I'd like to add a few thoughts on Polyamory.
My name is sg. I play in an organization that expects its members to behave in a chivalrous manner and show respect to all who attend their events no matter their orientation. As a result of this, I have met folks who practice Polyamory.

| who wants to share writerly squee with me? |
[Nov. 21st, 2009|12:05 am] |
After months and months of not touching the keyboard, thanks to mini_nanowrimo, I'm back to writing daily. Each day in November (so far), I've managed to write at least 100 words. Go me!
But that's not the object of this post.
I've been thinking about what to do when Mini Nano is over. How to kick my butt and stay with the writing daily? And I've come up with an idea:
Is there anyone who'd like to open up a writer's group, so to speak (via email or whatever), where we can report our word counts, keep each other on track, and squee about our writing? I was thinking maybe we could give out prompts if someone fails their target or some such. What do you think, anybody for it? *puppy eyes* |

| Happy Birthday, OdoGoddess! |
[Nov. 20th, 2009|04:49 pm] |

I report a happy accident of the kind the Muse she loves to arrange: I searched the Thesaurus for a better word than 'unique' for Ms. Odo, and it gave me 'curious' with this string of possible synonyms. I loved them all.
Thank you for all your wit and wisdom, blessings on you and your family for joy and abundance!
