For the survivors of ~biters. Our story will still take place outside of Denver, CO. The virus claimed its first documented victim in June of 2018. It took only a few weeks for it to decimate the United States. At present, it's unknown what state the rest of the world is in; the internet and cell phone reception were lost early on. Standard zombie rules apply. All characters are infected and will turn upon their death. However, bites hasten the ordeal.
IC usernames preferred. Our target is 20-25 players. Multiple characters are fine so long as you don't take on more than you can handle. After our max limit is met, we'll only allow new players if they're filling a line requested by one of our members. Weekly FFAs will be posted to keep everyone on the same page and coordinate new overarching plotlines. NPCs exist in the camp, as well. Players may share control and even kill them if doing so helps further the story.
In terms of guidelines, we've all been doing this long enough to know the basics. The #1 rule is to not dictate the actions or feelings of another player's character without their consent. Otherwise, you're free to harm or kill your own characters. There's no set plot structure at this time. If you want to do something, do it. Your options are to pitch the idea to the community in hopes of securing a partner or two, or you can post it as an open scene and see what happens. Power to the players.
Again, just don't say "and then a zombie horde descended upon the camp, killing everyone" without discussing it with us first. These instances will be ignored and likely result in removal.
Communities on IJ have a tendency of springing up and failing overnight. We've all experienced this phenomenon. As such, communication is key. I ask that all interested players respond to the weekly check-in posts. That's it. You don't have to link a completed scene or anything like that. So long as you take 10 seconds out of your day to say, hey! Still here! You're golden. Unresponsive players will be removed but are welcome to rejoin us once they have more time on their hands.
