Who: Christian, Lissa and Jill When: When they were powerless Where: prison Warnings: nah
The prison was alive with the sound of people freaking out from the loss of their powers. Jill was initially panicked. She couldn't feel Adrian. Their bond was so profound, so strong, to have it missing made her feel like pulling at her hair and screaming for it to come back. Then she caught a glimpse of her roommate. The almost giddy way she suddenly felt. No longer was she burdened with feeling other people's emotions.
Jill took a breath and calmed herself. This was temporary? Magic of some sort. Magical mishaps had happened before. All she needed to do was calm down and remember she was still safe here. That good was coming from this as well. Sookie was getting a break. If Sookie was getting relief then her sister and boyfriend had to be getting a break too. Try to focus on the brightside instead of the ache in her soul from not being able to feel Adrian.
"I need to find my sister," she said quietly to Sookie. The other woman nodded and Jill took off. She wanted to see Lissa first because Lissa had been struggling the hardest lately. If she was feeling free and calm, then maybe it would rub off on Jill before she had to face Adrian. Face him while not being inside his head. Tears threatened to spring to her jade green eyes at the thought, but she blinked them back and walked toward her sister's cell.
She caught glimpses of others struggling with the sudden loss of their abilities too. Panic. Anger. A rare moment of joy. Humans were reaching out. This prison was a community. They helped their own. As she reached Lissa's cell, she saw her holding Christian's hands. Her face serene and beautiful as ever, but her body more relaxed. He looked dark and angry. She listened as Lissa tried to reassure him his fire power would be back soon.
"It's not so bad, right?" Jill managed to ask. Her voice didn't sound convincing. Christian gave her a curious look, but the moment she caught her sister's gaze she knew Lissa understood. After all, her bond had been broken before too.
