Who: Grace DiLaurentis-Fields and OPEN What: Wandering around the prison When: Today Where: The prison Warnings: Mentions of her past child abuse
Grace suddenly found herself in a different town. It was a town infested with zombies and she wasn't necessarily surprised. She knew that she was different. She felt it in every wake of her being so why not zombies? Why not vampires and werewolves. She knew there were witches. She knew there were psychics who weren't the fake ones at a fair or whatever. She knew the real deal. She knew that even she could communicate with her sister using telepathy. These powers weren't innate, they didn't just spring up over night either. She noticed the difference when she was taken from her moms, Alison and Emily. Both she and her twin sister were kidnapped by Mary Drake, someone that Grace didn't know. It wasn't like her moms talked about her but from what Mary would tell the young girls was that she had twins just like them and she lost them. Mama Drake was nice to them, sweet even. She took care of them.
It was Alex. Alex was the monster and Grace remembered being pushed under water in a tub filled with ice and water. She remembered the mind games and torture that a young child couldn't even comprehend. She didn't know what she did that was so bad. She didn't talk out of line, she wasn't a bad kid but Alex hated them and she would always threaten them into not saying a word. It was months of this. The abuse, physical and mentally and it took a toll on her emotionally. Lily had it so much worse but that was because Grace was a crier. She was the softer of the two but that softness turned ice cold over the years and now there was an iceberg protecting her. The glacier that covered her body couldn't be broken.
She was attached to her sister, she was more co-dependent, more needy and she had even dropped out of college to follow her sister to Berkeley because she couldn't be without her. She tried. It didn't work. The two of them could communicate without even saying a single fucking word and now it was just empty, just like it was then when Lily left for college.
She was alone.
And she was in a prison. It was such shit. She walked around and walked past people she didn't know. Her uncle Jason was here, but she hadn't tried with him because what was the point? It was just disappointment, but that didn't stop her from watching him. She found him out in the yard and he looked younger, but still like her uncle. And there was Aria walking toward him and she looked so young. She rolled her eyes because I bet her and Ezra were a thing which was so weird and gross but they were married now and happy. Even if she was kissing her uncle right now. With a sigh, she moved back inside of the prison and began walking again to get a feel for it all. Someone walked by, bumping her and she reached out, grabbing their arm.
"Watch where the hell you're going," she said, her eyes dark and her touch cold as she shoved their arm away.
