Tara nodded. "It would have been a huge one for us to feel it up here." It was possible, though. Supposedly, California was always due for a massive one, at least back home. Maybe it had been due for one here, too? "Yeah, hopefully nothing important is broken."
As Zed was ducking into a closet, Tara was starting to pick books back up and put them away on the shelves. She wasn't finding anything too broken so far, just some books with pages bent from having fallen weird and the like. Nothing that couldn't be fixed.
Her eyes went wide when Zed said what was happening. "I can do a protection spell!" she said. This was something that was making her wish that Willow was here all the more. It would be nothing for her to do a spell, but Tara had power in her own right. She just had to believe in herself.
She moved to a window where she could see water start to come. She pressed her hands against the glass, feeling the power emanate from her as she prayed.
"Oh merciful Poseidon, God of the Sea, Protect your people here. Redirect your path. Change your track. Spare us from your wrath. Oh merciful Poseidon, God of the Sea, Protect your people here."
As she repeated her chant, the water did come, but it parted around the Sanctuary, sparing it from harm. As Tara kept chanting, she started to emanate a white glow, not blinding, but definitely noticeable.
