Lydia & Luke
Expect the unexpected. A phrase that was more or less Lydia's life. If it could happen, most likely it would. With the memories from home, the tighter grasp of her abilities, Lydia found herself coping a lot better than she thought she would have. And with the arrival of Malia, it was as if the life she knew back home was starting to fall into place here. Her past and her future - all together. It was a lot, but Lydia wouldn't have traded it. She wouldn't have traded Allison for anything.
Of course, with those memories came feelings as well. Feelings that couldn't be acted on or even spoken about. She was tempted to talk to Allison about it, but in the end, there was no reason to. There was no reason to put that energy out into the universe. So what if it might have been eating at her from the inside out, time healed that. That's what time did. And Lydia was going to let time do its job.
Time moved faster though when you had distractions. Pretty distractions all wrapped up in a very nice package. And that very nice package was waiting for her at Fangtasia. No, Lydia didn't arrive on time. She wasn't horribly late, but she also didn't file in with the others as soon as the doors opened. The party had been going on for less than an hour when Lydia did finally walk in. She paused, looking around what she had been told was a vampire bar, but right now, it looked as though Lady Liberty burst. Balloons and streamers and even centerpieces.
It was actually impressive. But what was even more impressive was the new werewolf in town, walking toward her.
"You look like you're settling in nicely," she said when he stopped in front of her. Her tone was slightly suggestive as she looked him over. When her eyes found his, she smiled softly.
