Gabriel & Wanda
She wondered if it was odd to be here, her eyes staring at the werewolf who was standing towards the back, not mingling with the crowd out of choice. She didn't come initially to stare at him but she couldn't help how her eyes went to his familiar face. Wanda was simply used to it, had spent months visiting Derek in his cell or waking up to his presence. For a while it was normal but all of that was gone in an instant. Somehow he left and returned in a blink of eye and there was nothing left. No memories to share -- just the ones she had of them.
Wanda sighed deeply as she turned away, focusing instead on the other party goers, those who were sitting down at the tables and some who were trying to dance. Wanda spotted a few of her fellow Avengers and was surprised to see some of them there. Everyone just wanted to have a good time and she felt that they were owed that after everything they had been through.
Shifting in her seat, Wanda felt a tingling in her mind as she picked up thoughts from someone nearby. Wanda didn't make it a habit to search the minds of those around her and she did her best to avoid the other psychics that lived in the prison but here in the enclosed space of Fangtasia she knew it was difficult to avoid all of them.
She had seen him a few times before - his face familiar on different levels because some people at the prison had literal twin versions of themselves. Wanda thought she had picked up a lingering thought, his voice having filled the space in her mind's eye before it was gone.
It was a little surprising how they had never shared a conversation with one another although Wanda guessed right away that Gabriel was the type who stayed away from people he barely knew. Wanda never gave herself the opportunity - between working in the Infirmary and working with the Avengers her time was limited.
