Who: Tony and Darcy Where: Out and about What: Blowing shit up When: Same day as this Rating: I suspect language and Endgame spoilers, but that *should* be about it
It was a weird day for Tony. It had been a series of weird days. It was probably going to continue to be a series of weird days until he adjusted to the idea that, at home, he was dead. He died saving, not just the world, but the universe. At least he didn't go out tripping and breaking his neck? That would have been embarrassing. He could get used to the idea of dying a hero. Well, get used to it one day. Since he'd found out, though, and when he wasn't around other people, he'd been drinking, though. (He might have traded Hill something for a jar of her moonshine, because he wanted to be fucked up.)
Today he was happy to join Darcy in another way of venting: blowing shit up. He flew in to where he and Darcy set up to meet at, landing easily on the ground. He retracted the helmet, looking around for her.
- Darcy much like others had the same dream about home, though she wasn't in it. It was still something that happened and they all shared it. Tony knew what happened to him, which is why she suggested blowing shit up. It was the best way to vent out. So after agreeing to meet, she ventured off.
Arriving just a minute after Tony. Her glasses resting over her frame, as her hair as tied up in a ponytail. She wore casual clothes as usual. "Hey!" She said happily as she moved towards Tony. "Ready to have some fun?"
--
“Very ready to blow some shit up.” They were in a forest full of trees, after all, so would anybody miss a few of them if they blew them up? Probably not. Plus, now that Darcy had said that she had magic, he was dying of curiosity to see it. Tony wouldn’t hate learning about magic himself, but he wanted to learn about it to combat it when someone showed up to inevitably try to kill them all again, this time with magic. He felt certain enough that Loki wouldn’t do it (and would happily sic his brother on him if he decided to do it for whatever reason), but who knew who would show up next?
“You wanna go first? I’m dying to see this magic of yours,” he said with a grin. -- Sometimes blowing shit up is what people needed. So when Tony said he was ready and asked for Darcy to go first, she nodded her head. Taking a step forward to some of the trees, she tied her hair back for the moment. Luckily with the craziness that happened a few weeks ago, it was easier for her to access those powers.
Bringing her hand out as she concentrated a minute and soon that purple spark was seen as it formed into a purple fire ball. A smirk on her lips as she looked to Tony.
Pulling Her hand back she threw the fire ball towards the trees as they watched the tree split in the middle from the impact.
--
Tony had his own issues with magic, mostly the mind controlling stuff, but he would be the first to admit that Darcy throwing around a giant fireball was insanely cool looking. It looked like something right out of that kid's movie about the wizard school.
"Loki taught you how to do that then?" he asked, arching an eyebrow at her. "Because that's pretty freaking amazing."
Not that what he could do was any less amazing. He raised a gauntlet and aimed at the next tree, firing off a blast and taking a good sized chunk out of it, sending bits of wood flying.
-- Darcy laughed when Tony asked if Loki showed her that. She simply nodded her head. "He did, and the swapping of powers helped me unlock and control mines a little more. I still have a lot to learn." She admitted.
She watched as Tony blasted a few trees in return as she arched a brow at him. Readjusting her footing as she once more created the purple ball, but larger this time as she smiled. "Yeah, but can you do this." She asked as she threw the ball into the air and had it explode.
Which caused a large blast but also seemed to have a fireworks effect to them.
-- “Well, it was downright fortuitous of that to happen to you two then,” Tony said, grinning. Most people had been freaked out by that little incident. Tony himself had freaked out a bit, although he was sure he’d have felt better about it if Eric had still been a vampire as well. Then he at least would have had someone who could control him if his own snapped. Things had managed to work out OK, though.
He watched her as she made another large fireball, this one blowing up in a spray of fireworks. “Not quite like that, but I can do something similar,” he offered.
After a slight adjustment to his gauntlets, he fired one off into the air. Instead of a regular blast, though, it separated off into a shower of blue fireworks. He’d once done something similar at the Stark Expo years ago, but those hadn’t been blue like he could do now.
-- Darcy looked up with a bright smile. "Ya know. We should do fireworks for 4th of July at the prison." She suggested as she looked over at Tony for the moment. A smile over her features. She figured it would be something nice for everyone.
"Maybe Loki can help too." Green purple blue. Those colors would look pretty in the sky. She thought to herself as she smiled at Tony.
-- “They’d probably get a kick out of it. I’m sure any old fireworks that are around Everett are dried up by now.” He found himself smiling as well. It was nice to get out and do something distracting rather than thinking about what had happened at home. He could dwell and drink himself stupid, or he could do something like this and plan for the future here. He knew which one he preferred.
“You think he’d be OK with such a ‘frivolous’ use of magic?” he asked playfully.
