Aziraphale was nonplussed, to say the very least. He had been minding his own business, having just found out where Adam was and about to leave to tell Gabriel and the others that he had found the boy, when there was a flash of light and suddenly he found himself outside in a place that was definitely not home.
Where were the streets of London? All the people? His book shop?
And most importantly, where was Crowley?
Because this most definitely had to be his doing.
It couldn't very well be God's. This definitely was not her style, then again, she had surprised Aziraphale a whole handful of times before. So that left Crowley, but even he did not have the power for such a feat.
That had him frowning. Honestly, he would have rather had this be the work of his friend because then said friend would be here. He couldn't sense Crowley at all.
Glancing at the phone he was given the moment he arrived—in fact, it had appeared in his left hand jacket pocket—he checked over the messages he had been engaged in with two very lovely young ladies. One of whom was on their way to come bring him to safety.
He could easily have brought out his wings and flown to safety but as he was not sure what in the dickens was going on, he wanted to keep his true existence under lock and key. If it later became necessary or appropriate to reveal what it was that he was, he would handle it at that time.
For the moment, he just had to wait and hope for Nora's safety. She had assured him she would be safe, but being who Aziraphale was, he couldn't help but worry.
