Who: Tyler and Caroline What: Catching up When: After he arrived Where: Around the prison Warnings: Angst
Tyler didn't know what the fuck was going on. Everything was a mess. He was a mess. His life, his friends lives. It was insane. And all because of Kai. Kai did this. At least now, Kai was dead. Damon had managed to kill him but the damage was already done. Jo was dead. Liv was dead. The rest of the Gemini Coven was dead and Elena was pretty much in a coma until Bonnie died. Kai might have been dead but he was still there, still surrounding everything. Tyler hated him so much, he hated that he had done this and he hated that he had lost his girlfriend and a friend in the process.
He could still close his eyes and see it. He could see everything. Her eyes and her hair and her lips and her - just her.
"Fuck," he muttered and rubbed at his face. He tried to shake it off but he couldn't. She had asked him to do something to make him what he was and he now ... that's what he had to live with. And now, he was here in ... he guessed Washington from what someone said but he didn't understand it. He also didn't understand the time difference. After talking to Caroline, he realized what she was getting at. They were still together. Which obviously meant that she was from the past. He just didn't understand how, or why.
It was that, or Elena being a straight up bitch and awake for that matter. Then there was Klaus - it was like if something shitty was going to happen, it was here, now. Shit sucked.
Tyler told Caroline that he'd head out to the yard and he was only there for a few minutes, looking around until he sensed her and he turned around. They had gotten past their differences considering she slept with the hybrid dick that killed his mother, but that would be something he would always remember. It was the ultimate betrayal, it just stung less now.
"Hey," he said, looking at her. No, he wasn't exactly doing well at the moment, but he was here, trying to figure out what was going on and now he had to talk to her about home and what had happened and why they weren't 'them' anymore. It was a talk that he thought he'd never have and now that it was staring him in the face, he didn't even know where to begin.
