WHO: Melissa and Kol
WHAT: Random run in after checking on Diana
WHEN: Bendy Times
WHERE: The Projects
WARNINGS: TBD
Melissa couldn't stop asking herself if she made a huge mistake. Should she have told Cassie and the others about Diana's trouble? Obviously she should have because now there was trouble brewing and she was caught somewhat in the middle of it. Melissa wasn't letting herself off the hook for what she did. She didn't care if she was affected by Pride's influence or not. She should've done something. She didn't even tell Faye and mind you Melissa knew that Faye didn't like Diana much, but she definitely cares if something happens to her. They were all friends after all and none of them were cold-hearted regardless of what they believed when they argued.
Visiting Diana was a relief because she was able to see with her own two eyes that Diana was hanging in there. At least that was Melissa's assessment of the situation and she was pretty spot on with these conclusions because she made them based on prior knowledge mixed with current information. However, Melissa felt sadness and extreme worry about Diana's attitude but simply assumed she would come around.
As Melissa pondered how to quell her neuroticism and whether or not she should give into Faye's insistence they have a drinking session or two, she knew that regardless of what she choose to do she wasn't handling her feelings very well. What could make this worry go away? Lately she was having nightmares and the only explanation for them was her guilt over Nick. It bothered her that she couldn't get over it. It bothered her that she wasn't able to compartmentalize it like everyone else seemed to, even Jake who was closest to Nick. It felt weird to dwell on something from the past so fiercely.
So away she went, leaving Diana's apartment behind but having every intention on returning on a semiweekly basis to show Diana how much her friendship still meant to her. Faye was busy with Jake anyways and would need to understand Melissa's desire to maintain all her friendships. Walking down the street, she saw a familiar face but couldn't place him. It would come to her eventually.
