Cristina still couldn't believe that Jace and Julian had gone at it. And over Emma. She wondered if Emma knew. Cristina hadn't told her - yet. She had told Julian that she would share what happened eventually, but it really should have come from him. She felt bad for him - and for Emma obviously because she knew how much they loved eachother and every second they weren't together, they were just at war with eachother. Over petty jealousies and whatever else they could fight about or hurt eachother with. It was exhausting in a sense but she understood it. They couldn't be together. They were parabatai. It was forbidden. And while Cristina was from the past, she had heard about the future from Ash when it came to the two of them. It wasn't exactly pretty.
She just wished that she could fix this, but how could she when she couldn't even fix her own life? She was confused half of the time and when she tried to move on from it, she just got pulled back and got even more confused. It wasn't Diego's fault, it was her own. She could only blame herself for her own actions. He had already told her in the future that they weren't to be. And she should have just listened to that. It was hard to accept it though but she supposed things could have been worse. They could have, but that didn't mean she wasn't upset about it.
And it was on her mind as she walked up the tower for her shift. As two other people squeezed by her as they left, she walked into the tower and saw Alec. She smiled at him, pushing down whatever distaste she had for everything going wrong in her life.
She did notice that Alec looked a little better. A little happier. Which was nice. She remembered listening to him cry - something she never thought she would see - over Jace. Back in Cristina's world, or well, her version of LA, she guessed, Alec and Magnus were together, there were children involved, they were happy but things were so different here. She loved that he had found happiness back home, but here, it broke her to see him so upset and confused himself. Not that she would recommend him being with Jace, or continuing to want that - they were parabatai. It was wrong and he knew that.
"Chico dulce," she greeted. She and Alec had gotten close here. Sure, it started because he was under some spell, but it had carried on after that.
"How's it look out there?" Better to talk about business than her inner woes. Cristina wasn't the type of just talk about things anyway, she kept it all close and deep down. Which only meant she was going to explode one of these days.
