It was days like these that Dana was so glad that she had decided to move to the prison.
Not only was it cold outside, but this place had food. Good food, even. She had peaked in on the kitchen staff while they were working on lunch today, and one man had even given her a taste of what they were working on before chasing her away, saying that too many people in the kitchen was distracting.
Once lunch had been ready, she had been more than happy to get her share and settle in at a table to eat. While she didn't totally understand why, she knew that she was always hungry. It was much easier for her to eat in the prison than out on her own. She was usually lucky to find a couple of cans of food a day. Here, she actually was able to eat enough to feel even stronger, like how she was supposed to be.
It helped her in her training. Kylo trained differently than she remembered Watchers doing, but it helped her to remember that she should always expect the unexpected. It gave her an advantage, and she liked the feeling of that. To keep up with her training, though, she needed fuel, which, once again, living at the prison was giving her.
She could get used to this.
Dana sat at a table by herself, focused intently on her food. She was very happy with it, and wondering how long she would possibly have to hang around to see if she could get a second helping. The helpful man in the kitchen had explained to her that everyone had to eat before people could come in for seconds, but she wondered how long she had to wait until it was assumed they weren't coming.
