Zoe's own reasons for going to the infirmary were different - mainly because she was concerned more about her sister than anything else. The fact that her brother-in-law was obviously going insane was secondary to that, because she wanted to make sure Sydney was okay, but she couldn't help but still feel some of the disgust and uneasiness she always had when around vampires. For fifteen years, she'd been taught a certain way; sure, Sydney had removed whatever brainwashing there supposedly was in her tattoo, but that didn't mean that it was so easy to change her beliefs. She might like Jill and Eddie, but she didn't love them or consider them to be family. Zoe simply never had the chance to develop the same kind of relationship with them that her sister had, and she certainly hadn't fallen in love with a vampire.
As she approached the doors, her steps faltered a little when she saw Trey. Zoe still had the belief that the rest of the Palm Springs group pretty much hated her for reporting Sydney to the Alchemists, and it didn't help that she herself hated the fact that it had meant her sister had been hurt. The smile Trey gave her was surprising, but encouraging, and after a moment she slowly walked over so she could peek through at her sister beside him.
"I...what?" Blinking, the teenager looked at him, surprised at his words, and not just because they were so different from what Sydney said, but also because she so very rarely heard anyone tell her that she had a point, particularly when it was one that was very contrary to her sister's beliefs. "Separate them? But...how?" Zoe spoke tentatively, not sure what he was implying, and more - not sure how she felt about it.
