It was so amazing to see Dawnie had become a mini-Giles here. It boggled Tara's mind that there were so many more Slayers, but it was just one of many things that she had to get used to here. Everybody here that she knew from home was so different. They'd all grown and changed so much, and yet Tara was still the same. She almost felt like she had been kept in stasis.
"I'm so glad I stayed in for New Year's," Tara admitted. Not that she thought she would have explored a random boat that showed up at midnight, but she couldn't predict what would have happened if she had went, and she was happier that she had hung back. At least now she could help out instead of being a hindrance. Not that the others could help what had happened to them. They didn't know what would happen. It actually scared her a little bit that something so random like that could happen.
"How are things going with you, though, past this craziness?" Something weird like this happening almost made Tara feel like she was at home again. It almost made her really think that there could be a Hellmouth nearby that caused weird things to happen just like in Sunnydale. When she had a chance, she was going to figure out a spell to check and see if there was one nearby. Maybe that would help at least explain why stuff like this happened.
She sat down on the bed after Dawn moved the clothes. These rooms really were small, but Tara was trying to think of them as 'cozy.' She had even decorated her own room a bit to try and make it feel more like a home. It was mostly serving to make her miss her actual home, but she was doing her best here. Better to be here where she was alive, after all.
