Who: Pam (Works as a stand alone but open to anyone who wants it, too.)
Where: The Woods, then Everett Proper
When: Bendy
Word Count: 1014
Warnings: It's Pam, so language is definitely included. Also one killed zombie.
Pam knew that Tara hated this place, and while Pam was grateful to it that it had given her Tara back, she couldn't help but think that it was pretty damn insane, too. She thought that she hated witches back home, and then she came here and found a full fledged vampire witch that could control vampires. Pam didn't want to lose her temper here, because, when things weren't going completely to hell, they had a decent thing going, but Pam was ready to turn on all the witches in the area and eat them.
However, that was something that would be frowned upon, so she refrained. A part of her wondered if Eric was still interested in getting the hell out of Everett. She was of course going to go along with her Maker, even if he had released her, but she hoped that he was still interested in leaving this area for at least Seattle. They had a few humans to take with them, plus there was bound to be more in a large city like that. They could easily make due.
And what was so great about Everett anyway? It was a small town surrounded by woods, and the biggest group of people in the area picked out a prison for fuck's sake. Other than safety in numbers, why was this place where everyone ended up? Who the hell set up a portal that brought everyone here? A bigger city with room to hold a large population would make more sense, wouldn't it? You could still carve out a portion of the city and make it defensible. There was only so much room to grow here.
And she would have somewhere better to go for a walk if they uprooted to Seattle. Instead, she had the woods. She took out her anger on a few zombies that she came across, but the area was kind of light on them tonight. She would be so much happier if she at least had something to take her frustration out on. She almost hoped that she found a horde of them. At least then she would be able to burn some of this anger inside of her.
She walked through the woods, grateful that tonight she had went slightly more sensible with her shoes than the pumps that she normally favored. She had still dressed fashionably, wearing a tight, low cut black long sleeved shirt, skinny jeans, and an expensive pair of winter boots. She had bothered with a coat, not wanting to deal with the bulk. The cold didn't bother her, so she didn't need to have something restricting her movement.
When she came across another zombie, she grinned, fangs bared. If only zombies were edible. She hadn't tried, obviously, but they smelled awful enough and didn't seem to have any real fresh blood in them to make her want to try. Leaping across the ground, she tackled the zombie, knocking it to the ground, pinning it down the the throat. It didn't breathe, but it couldn't even try to bite her, either. Its teeth snapped, more likely because she had attacked it rather than wanting to eat her. Zombies didn't bother with other dead things. It was why she could walk around so freely at night, especially now that Kai the bastard was gone.
She would have liked to have taken her time, really working through some of her anger, but there was only so much that she could do with one zombie. She grabbed the zombie's head, ripping it off from its neck, dropping it to the ground. She then sat up, crushing the head underneath her boot. She'd definitely have to clean her boots off when she got back to Fangtasia, but she felt like it would be worth it.
The zombie now neutralized, she started to walk again, more than content to go back to her thoughts. She wondered how long things would stay calm now before they tried going to hell again? Would they get a Christmas fucking miracle and get to relax for a month? She kind of doubted it, but, if they weren't going to get the hell out of dodge, then they should probably figure out any Christmas specials that the bar was going to do. She could work with Tara and the other bartenders on a few drink specials, maybe even go out and scavenge some Christmas decorations. She had never cared for the holiday, even when she was human, but she knew that other humans cared, and if they felt more festive they might drink more. Just because they didn't make money anymore didn't mean that she didn't want their customers any less pleased. Their payment was now just more...direct.
Now with a more...decent detraction on her mind, she flew up into the sky, flying until she found the town of Everett proper and landing. She didn't think that this world had went to hell during the Christmas season, but stores had Christmas decorations buried in the back their storage, right? She knew Fangtasia kept theirs put away to bring out every year, so certainly some business had something hidden away that she could use.
Walking through different stores, she managed to put together some decorations that weren't absolutely offense to her senses. Maybe they could make place look festive without being hideous. If she stuck to more red and gold and less green, then it would go with the decor that they had without clashing too badly. She made sure to avoid grabbing any sort of Christmas music, though. She'd never heard a one Christmas song that she could tolerate, and she doubted that this world had anything different than her own. They would stick with the music they already played, thank you.
If anyone tried to make her wear a Santa hat, though, she was going to rip out their spine and feed it to them. Even she had her limits for what she would do to have a successful business. There was only so much whoring that she could handle.
