Who: Kristoph (Mentions of Jean, Kerr, James, Paul); Open for Reactions When: Sunday 12/15, Afternoon Where: Lion Cages
He was dressed as a dapper gentleman, quite respectable and exactly what the local constabulary needed to see. The visit started with a brief tour of the grounds and the security they had. Paul helped brief their guests on various concerns they posed as hypotheticals, all of which they seemed to approve of. The sheriff even tried to stump him, but found that Zion was prepared for anything- or at least appeared to be.
The tour continued to the animal pens, first they met with Jean and Kerr near the smaller animals and the incident was recapped. Their visitors seemed to be put at ease that the young man who'd seemingly been injured wasn't. When they arrived to the big cages, they found both of the cats calm and relaxed. Jean explained a bit about the training process as well as cautions taken. One of which was that the animals they used had been... well neutered was the term best to describe the situation. She showed how neither cat had claws or teeth to harm a person. When one person asked how they ate, Jean quickly explained they ground meat into a paste for them.
After a long meeting in Kristoph's wagon, the locals finally left Zion for the evening. That night at dinner Kristoph stood before everyone and spoke.
"First, I want to thank everyone for their part they played in things. James, thank you for your illusions... you are a master in your art. Kerr, thank you for helping to keep the cats calm and Jean and Paul for their quick thinking on some of those more... unique questions asked of us.
I am sure all of you are wondering what the verdict is, did they buy it? The answer is yes." Kristoph raised his hand to hush the excitement before it could drown him out. "However, there are some conditions. First, for the rest of our time here the big cats will not be performing. Jean, we can find work for you to make up for what you'd be using. Second, we will be moving the cages even farther into the back end to reduce the risk of someone wandering back and messing with them." Not that they'd had that issue before, but it was something insisted upon to make the locals feel safer.
"One thing we're going to do ourselves, is be more vigilant. Something clearly spooked King, so if anyone sees anything out of the ordinary, or gets a feeling of something being off- report it. Kerr will also be working with Jean next month when the show comes back, to ensure the animals remain calm- should anything else happen." Kristoph nodded and then encouraged everyone to continue eating before he took his leave.
